Hi,
Recently I contacted Axis Bank support on twitter regarding there CIBIL score check website was showing "System Error" issue. They created a service request. I don't have any banking relationship with Axis, neither bank account nor credit card. Yesterday I received this sms "Awareness message, your CKYC id is linked to customer id". My question is what is this customer id when I don't have any relation with them? Ckyc number is correct. I saw a few posts on community about ckyc being fetched for various reasons but being linked to a non-existent customer id is a new for me. I asked them on twitter as well and they are looking into it. What can it be?
Edit - So it turned out because of a closed BNPL relationship with axis bank through freecharge. I had a freecharge pay later account during college, used it 2-3 times just for some cashback and then never used it. It was closed 2-3 years ago. Now they linked the customer id associated with that to CKYC after so many years, they said "it's as per RBI guidelines". Still their sms service says my number is not registered with them, neither I have any customer id, weird. Anyway, I got my doubts cleared.
