Clarification on Axis Ace Credit Card Annual Fees

My wife is add-on to my axis ace credit card.
Today I saw axis ace cc offer on her gpay but when applied it says cannot process since you are already customer to axis so apply directly on axis Bank website.
My question is if I remove her by cancelling her add-on will she able to apply through gpay then??? ( 1000 gift vouchers would miss if apply directly)

I took Axis Bank Ace CC in March 2024, joining fee was waived off. Now, should I close it in March 2025 to avoid being charged for 2nd year fee?

Upon checking website, it doesn't mention that Rs. 2L needs to spent in previous year, so, my guess is, I can safely use it till February 2026 and get it closed in March 2026 in case I'm unable to spend Rs. 2L and get the annual fee waived off. And even when I called their customer support, I was told the same thing that I've time till March 2026 until any annual fee is levied but I can't trust them at all.

Can someone please help me in understanding the billing cycle and spend based annual fee waiver?

Annual fees is charged on Card Approval Date in Axis Bank, you can anytime cancel the card before 365th day of your card membership, and you won't be charged but I would suggest to close before a week or two

Thanks for the confirmation, I was told wrong info over call.

There's excess balance on my card, I've emailed for credit refund of the same and then will close the card as soon as possible since bill is generated on 15th and 2nd year probably starts from end of March 2025.

If you also have savings account with them then you can ask for excess credit to be credited to your savings account

I don't have savings account in Axis Bank. I had to make a transaction, settle the outstanding amount via UPI and then only I was able to close the card. Credit refund was taking too much time and multiple to and fro conversations over email.

You will get the credit balance confirmation from bank, then write to them that u have closed your card and want excess credit to be credited to your savings account and provide them with the details of the account attached with a copy of cancelled cheque, they will initiate the refund, write them in short and straight forward way with only necessary information needed, write directly to the nodal if didn't get fruitful response within week write to PNO
