CLE in ICICI’s Recent iMobile version - Sept 2025

Anyway ICICI refreshed both netbanking and iMobile recently..with some UI changes...

Yes, we were discussing, but I decided to proceed against it because they asked to move the account to wealth branch which was far away from my home, lol.

That can't be the reason. I have Mine account too where I have very low balance and I hardly use that account. I have been periodically getting LE.

After a careful thought, took the LE on my sapphiro and left Apay as it is..
Also reduced spend limit to 9L and let’s see what will be reported to CIBIL

The ICICI Mine account is basically a zero balance savings account offered by ICICI Bank. It was introduced around 2019 (not sure of the exact year) and was available for a limited time.


It’s a full-fledged ICICI account, not a basic or restricted one. The main highlight was that it had no minimum balance requirement, without any hidden conditions.


The only charge associated with it was for the debit card, but even that could be avoided — you could simply choose to block or not request a debit card if you only wanted the account.

This account was good for getting pre-approved offer, I know many friends of my getting pre-approved mine cc with decent limit and after that getting apay card.

Then it seems it won't cause any issues with regard to LEs as it is useful for pre approved offers

That’s not the case, brother. Two of my friends also have ICICI Mine accounts, and they still got 4 times LE. Right now, both of them are holding ICICI credit cards with a ₹7 lakh limit & another with 6.4L near about.


So, having a Mine account doesn’t restrict limit enhancement. It probably depends more on usage, repayment history, or other internal factors.

Exactly! It’s a full-fledged ICICI account — no restrictions just because it’s a Mine account. Glad the info helped 😊


And yes, it’s fully eligible for limit enhancements and pre-approved offers, just like any other ICICI savings account and have seen my friends getting LE without parking any balance in their saving account

Wow, that’s a huge jump — from 9L to 18L! 😳
Now I’m wondering and bit confused too… is it actually beneficial to accept such a high limit increase?
Could it end up showing as high available credit or excessive leverage to other lenders and affect future approvals?
