Club Mahindra Puducherry

A Hidden Gem with Peacocks and Beach Vibes!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you're looking for the perfect beach getaway that's peaceful, vibrant, and family-friendly – Club Mahindra Puducherry is where you need to be! We had an incredible stay and I can honestly say it exceeded all our expectations.

🌴 Location & Ambience

The 24-acre property is around 20 kms from the city. It is tucked away in lush greenery, surrounded by tall casuarina trees, and opens up to a beautiful private beach that’s clean, quiet, and ideal for long, dreamy walks. What makes this place magical? Peacocks! Yes, real ones – casually roaming the property like they own it. It was such a delight to spot them every morning and evening near the lawns or walking by our room. It truly felt like we were living inside a nature documentary!

🛏️ Rooms & Comfort

The resort is undergoing expansion but tt present they have only 125 studio rooms. Our studio room was the latest renovated one, well-maintained, and had a charming sit-out area that faced the gardens. Waking up to birdsong and rustling trees was so calming. The rooms are equipped with all basic amenities and cleaned daily by a friendly and efficient housekeeping team.

🍽️ Food & Dining

Food lovers, rejoice! The in-house restaurant, Aroma, serves up a delicious mix of local Tamil cuisine, North Indian favorites, and even continental and Asian options. Every meal felt like a feast! The breakfast buffet was our favorite – fresh dosas, idlis, juices, fruits, and more. And don’t miss the seafood dinner – so fresh and flavorful. This is one place where we found Biryani everyday for both lunch and dinner. One day they even had Biryani festival and served 5 different Non-Veg and 1 Veg biryani. The dinner was arranged outdoor, with live performances by Happy Hub team.

🎯 Activities & Entertainment

There’s something for everyone:
  • Kids had a blast at the Happy Hub with crafts, games, and magic shows
  • We joined a nature walk – such a unique experiences!
  • Evenings are lively with cultural dance shows, live music, and campfires near the beach.

🦚 Nature Walk

We went for a nature walk, guided by a knowledgeable and passionate naturalist from the resort’s activities team. The property is spread across 24 lush acres, and during the walk, we learned that it hosts over 120 species of plants and trees, many of which are native to the coastal ecosystem. From towering casuarina and neem trees to flowering shrubs, medicinal herbs, and even exotic varieties – it was like walking through a living botanical encyclopedia. Apart from the peacocks (which deserve a special mention again), the entire resort is a green paradise. You’ll see butterflies, birds, and feel fully immersed in nature. It’s one of the most serene places we’ve stayed at.

🌇 Nearby Places to Visit

While the resort itself is a destination, Puducherry has so much to offer:
  • Auroville – the iconic experimental township with the golden Matrimandir dome (~30 mins away)
  • Promenade Beach & Rock Beach – for a taste of the city’s French vibes
  • White Town – charming streets, colorful cafes, and heritage buildings
  • Paradise Beach – a short drive plus boat ride, worth it for the views!
  • Botanical Gardens and Sri Aurobindo Ashram – peaceful and beautiful
The travel desk helped us plan our local outings and arranged transportation. Super helpful!

❤️ Final Verdict

Whether you're looking for relaxation, fun, family bonding, or just a break from the city noise, Club Mahindra Puducherry is a total winner. Beautiful setting, warm staff, delicious food, tons of activities, and those majestic peacocks make it a one-of-a-kind experience. Special thanks to Rohini, Arun, Chelian, Pavithra, Kavitha, Chef Kamlesh and Rasul for taking extra care of us.

Already planning our next trip back! Highly recommended – 5 stars all the way!

Nice travelogue. Though out of the scope of this thread wanted to know whether taking membership is worth it or not. Could you share some insight regarding your experience with club mahindra till date and recommendation on a separate thread?

nice post .. how can non member book it and how much will be cost
Non members can book through hotel aggregators like MMT, etc. Cost is dynamic depending on room type and season. Generally only HU room type is available through hotel aggregators.

There are groups on FB where members sell their excess nights. Guest bookings can be a cheaper alternative but with some risks - like member will have full control and can cancel booking after taking payment from you. Remember there is a guest fee you will have to pay additionally at the resort and you will not get 25% discount on food and activities.

I will create a separate thread but in short if you are ready to spend go for it.
