This comes as somewhat of a sad news to me because my IDFC Club Vistara Credit Card was one of the paid cards I had retained. I last paid my renewal fees on Jul 13 last year.
For some reason I was going through the Maharaja Club FAQs for Loyalty Points and I came across a section of FAQs for Post-Merger, here one of the FAQ clearly stated that the Co-Branded Credit Card benefits will ONLY continue until Mar 31, 2026. The same question also says that your Co-Branded Credit Card renewal fees cannot be charged beyond Mar 31, 2025, since if you're charged your renewal fees beyond Mar 31, 2025, you cannot enjoy your card benefits for one full year.
Given what I read, I reached out to IDFC First Bank Customer Care to confirm the same, they said, at present, they have not received any such communication and as such, my card renewal fees will be charged as usual. If there are any changes, then the same will be communicated to me.
Given that this affects all Club Vistara Co-Branded Credit Cards from all banks except the Air India Co-Branded Credit Cards from SBI, I thought it was wise to create this post to intimate the community of what is expected to happen over the course of a little over a year.
You are advised to reach your spend based milestone goals for your complimentary Economy / Premium Economy / Business Class (based on the issuer and varient of your card) tickets before your card renewal date, if your card is scheduled to be renewed after Mar 31, 2025, as most probably, the card will be closed and it may not be renewed beyond Mar 31, 2025.
