Common Statement for all Gemstone cards

Got to know that All Gemstone cards are placed under a single account (which is odd)

ICICI RM told that we can have max 3 accounts:
1. Amazon
2. Co-branded
3. Core

So, if you have Sapphiro and Coral, both will be shown under 1 account and a common statement would be generated even if both cards are shown as Primary Card in your iMobile or Netbanking.

The statement name would be of the card which was availed first.

So, if you got Coral first and then got Sapphiro, then the statement would only mention Coral in the header, but amount would be for all cards

----

Edit: Payment can be done in any card number. As the statement and account is common, paying to any one of the card is enough.

Example: If you have Sapphiro Dual and Coral, with usage as below:
Sapphiro MC: 1000
Sapphiro AMEX: 1500
Coral: 500

Then you can make payment of 3000 to any one of the card (Better pay to Sapphiro MC or Coral), the account will get settled.

I had a Coral Visa from last year and got a Coral Rupay last month. So the statement got generated for both the cards today and it was a consolidated statement.
So my question is, paying on any one of the card would be enough? If I pay the bill on my Visa Coral, would that mean that I don't have to make any payment on the Coral Visa? As the total amount was inclusive of the amounts spent on both the cards.

Any body in a similar situation? Who already made the payment last month or got any confirmation from ICICI?
Any card payment would do. It goes to the combined statement

Yes, Its a single account, payment to any card number is considered.

I have Platinum,HPCL Coral in a single statement. I usually pay to Coral.

Has anyone closed a core ICICI credit card here? Do they stop showing the card number in the consolidated CC statement after it is closed? Asking because I'm planning to apply the Coral RuPay LTF CC for my dad, who already has the Visa LTF variant of the same since last year.

Yes, I closed my coral while retaining Rubyx and Sapphiro. They stopped showing the closed card in consolidated statement.

Why not keep both? It's a single account anyway. More deals to grab during sales.
I'm already aware that they both share a common account number. But what if he doesn't use the Coral Visa variant for a long time? Will it get closed automatically? I can't find any post or comment that clarifies this.

Most probably, NO, until he's using his other card. They're both linked to one card account, so it's counted from there. This was confirmed in one of the threads in the forum of Dual Sapphiro cards where, one guy got in written confirmation that if he spends ₹5000 only on Sapphiro Amex, will he get double benefit of Lounge Access on both of his cards, and the support rep confirmed the same.

So based on that logic, spends done on solely one card are counted as an aggregate for the card account, is what I believe, so far.

someone said exact opposite of this, somewhere on the forum...

now its confusing again

I can't confirm myself as I have no planned trips in the next quarter and I hold only Visa Sapphiro and Coral Rupay.

I think you have Dual Sapphiro. Can you get it confirmed from Customer Care?
I have heard both....

some say that its written "5k on card' which means individual... if account si to be considered then 5k on any gemstone should enable lounges for all others... but haven't tried.

I got this confirmation from customer care executive over call that for Dual Sapphiro if you spend 5000 in any one of the variant either MC or AMEX, you can avail the lounge access facility on both the cards, as it has same account and only providing benifit of two card network.
How do longue access provider like Dreamfolks know that I have completed the eligibility of 5k or not? If I add my card to Dreamfolks and it generate QR on paying Rs 2 even if I have not met the eligibility, will bank charge me extra amount later for the longue access used?

Yes, if you didn't completed the 5000 criteria then bank will definately charge extra.
In my case, once I haven't completed the 5000 criteria and at the lounge my card was eligible for access. But the ICICI customer care executive told me that I will be charged lounge access fee in my next statement as I haven't met the minimum eligibility criteria for lounge access in the previous quarter.
It was the MMT Signature Card.
So better avoid this.

Yes.

₹2 is just for card authentication. Charges can be levied by bank later. For IDFC, Dreamfolks shows on the booking page itself if the 5000 threshold is reached
