Converting ASV -> Apay

This trick although might or might not have discussed in this forum, if it is, mods feel free to mark as redundant and delete it.

I accidentally discovered this, so while I was placing an order for a HP laptop which had 5000 cashback on it, I made a partial payment with my YFE (since cashback offered was on YFE for a certain min. amount to be paid via that card) and ASV balance (remaining amount to double dip). After placing the order, within 30 mins I received my 5000 cashback as Amazon pay balance, however realised that I ordered at the wrong address and so had to cancel the order.

When I cancelled the order, the 5000 cashback which was already given had to be adjusted somewhere, so it got adjusted against the ASV I paid, and Amazon made me full by refunding the portion I paid via card back to card.

I don't use this often, but it was good to know, the best way to take benefit would be looking into your rewards section and chose the one which offers the max cashback (5000 etc.) else you might find yourself wasting time for smaller cashback deals which offer 200/250/500 etc. thing big lol

Disclaimer: You could put your account in jeopardy if you do too much of this, tread with caution

Someone mentioned somewhere this trick but its useful for once or twice but not regular as I will never risk my amazon account blockage due to high cancellations.

yeah I don't think you should exploit this loophole unless if its a genuine cancellation. Amazon account ban would be a huge problem. They already have internal numbers and metrics for fraudulent accounts and entire teams dedicated to it. Not worth the risk at all.

of course, tread with caution is a must with everything in this forum, nobody should do this for fun or exploit this till eternity, I thought I wouldn't have to mention that haha. I did this once and never bothered again, I'm happy purchasing the ASV and Apay on a separate basis as and when the need arises. I thought its a good to know trick for someone who is stuck and uses this exceptionally knowing the risks

As the infamous hindi saying "koi bhi chiz adhik matra mei sahi nai hoti" I live by this, maybe it be loopholes or food or even money. have a good day 🤞

what are these new plans?
You are right I rarely use Yes card anyways
Found a post on TF itself, here you go:

There's one more plan which is 900 plus GST which gives 3X points on all categories

what does the reward rate become then for 5x and 3x ?

what does the reward rate become then for 5x and 3x ?
3X @24RP/200 ~ 9%
3X @12RP/200 ~ 4.5%
3X @6RP/200 ~ 2.25%
all above are based on categories, please look them up on the product page, you can accordingly calculate the 5X one but again thats very limited categories
Also note that I've considered 25p as the reward rate (only applicable on flight bookings, so now you see its a scrap card) but with the 3x/5x you can milk it
