Credit Card Bill Payment Delay

TF Buzz
Hey guys, I have multiple credit cards and the thing with AU card is it's not linked to cred thus no reminders.
I rarely use it and just used it once for a swiggy discount and bill of Rs480
Somehow I forgot to pay the bill and paid it with a delay of 5 days, They charged Rs100 as late payment charges which I am totally fine with. But I am getting anxiety as to how will it affect my CIBIL score?
Can someone please help me with this if anyone has any idea?

As you have made payment in my opinion they will not report it to cibil but as a precautionary measure write/Talk with Au care about the same ..
As If your credit card bill or loan EMI payment is delayed by less than 30 days, it doesn't have much of an impact on your credit score. So, if you've forgotten to pay the bill, ensure that you settle it before 30 days to minimize the effect on your credit score.

If reported as delayed Payment, It will effect temporarily but will again Become normal.in due course.

My strategy
When the bill is generated I immediately pay on same day the minimum due and rest around due date
So even I missed the due date for any reason I will not be paying late payment and avoiding risk report to cibil I manage due date with cred and sms manager

Luckily I never missed due date till date

Yeah This was also my strategy, This time when the bill was generated, somehow my payment failed and then I got busy in some work. And forgot about it until 4 days after due date 🙁

Write a mail to AU care informing them that payment got delayed by mistake its not intentional..As i have paid already so donot report it as delayed payment..Most probably they will respond positively..
Tried reaching out to them multiple times over email, they have a standard bot reply that late payment charges levied are genuine. Fed up of explaining them that I am more than happy to pay the charges just don't report delayed payment to CIBIL. Any other trick to reach out to them?

Dont explain anything...Just now send a mail to arrange call back...Discuss everything on call....

thats manageable number, IMO.

Regarding your issue, you should have patience and mostly discuss with Level 2, and Level 3.

If reported, you may expect a drop of ~30 points in your report which may recover overtime but that late payment mark exist for multiple years.

Btw, when did this happened this month or last month?
Yeah it's a manageable number, just plain oversight from my side.
I am not able to reach any of their customer service apart from bot replies on support email.

This happened this month only, 2nd June was due date and I paid bill on 6th June.

Tried discussing with level 1 support and they said that report to CIBIL goes systematically, and they can't do anything about it.
Any idea how to connect to level 2/3 support?

Late payment charges will surely affect the credit score. But I also believe there should be reverse credit scored by customer also. But not possible as you are individual and they are institute. The third party payment they donot consider if either of system has problem even you pay the due in time.
with my experience always due credit card due totally one day before due date through NEFT from your bank. Just get the IFSC code for your credit card customer care . Add in your bank to your third party payment list with account no. as your credit card 16 digit no. And IFSC Cade as you received from your credit card. If you have more credit card give name as your card bank and last 4 digit as name. With this you can make the schedule payment with one day in advance as soon as you received your statement. Make the sufficient fund balance as per your spent.
Use credit card benefit maximum by using card on next day of statement generation and clear 100% payment with NEFT from your third party payment mode and enjoy full benefit. If you unable to pay 100% never use credit card otherwise you are totally looser.
To keep the Credit rating unaffected you must atleast pay minimum amount by due date, in this case no late payment charge applicable but only high rate of interest you have to pay from the date you have used credit card so avoid this if you are using credit card.

Nobody believe this as your mistake otherwise everyone do like this. Yes some credit card may believe you based on your past payment history record they can put up for consideration and sometime they themselves approve or raise to their higher level. Forget if you can able to contact their higher level at all. Yes if you are genuine they give email address and you can narrate all sequence with documentary proof they consider or some higher level will contact you through their system but you can not contact them through their received call also. There is no single company who operate online of whom you can contact above Customer care no. unless that company is at bigger fault and if you threatened to go to social media

Agreed with you totally.
But See bro....If we have to cover miles, we have to start with a first step.

What is possible from our side we must do.
