I have a HDFC Infinia CC with CL 10.5L. Also I have a Imperia Salary account with HDFC. I hold about 10 other credit cards so my usage on each of the cards is very low may be around 10k per month. Has anyone ever faced a downgrade due to low usage of the card or any other reason. Can the card be down graded by the bank?

Nope.
This isn't a bank account to get downgraded due to non maintenance of mab.

I have a feeling that this can happen in the future unless one's paying the Infinia annual fees. HDFC converted a lot of users to Infinia LTF and since then, they have been trying to get them converted into paid ones or offer upgrades in the netbanking account that were not really upgrades.

When you say trying to get converted to paid ones. What does it mean, can you please share any experience?

The recent "upgrades" in netbanking started offering the Regalia card but not as LTF but as a paid option. They are not doing it explicitly yet but even if they do, I think they must have it covered it in the fine print of their T&Cs.

Ok, I have a Preferred/Imperia account for past 6 years now and I got the Infinia as LTF in Jan 2021. Let's hope for the best.

Getting Infinia as LTF is not that easy even being imperia or preferred client. probably u have the plastic card instead of metal infinia

Yes even I have Infinia LTF. HDFC offered LTF in 2021, long before they announced the metal variant.

Yes mine is plastic card. And very recently, may be last week I called the customer care to check for the metal card. I was clearly told that there's no difference in the benefits whatsoever. Its just you dont get the joining benefits because you dont pay the fee. If you want we can issue a chargeable metal card 🤣

I think I got Infinia because of my spends (bought atleast a dozen iphones for freidns and relatives) from my regalia card.

The card is good but 12k is too much! I have around 12-15 cards and this is my favourite.

Following as I would also look for downgrading my infinia and opt for ltf regalia or something. Not checked with RM yet, will update next week after I have a word with her..
