Why do people choose the RBL World Safari credit card, which has a ₹3000 annual maintenance charge, over Lifetime Free (LTF) cards like IXIGO AU, Scapia, and Niyo Global, or even other cards like Yes Marquee that offer rewards not only to offset fees but gives positive rewards as well?

Because when you phone customer care they will waive of the 3000 fee, but you still have to pay 540 GST

Ixigo AU - Sourcing issues, I've heard, never applied for any AU cards myself

Scapia - not issued anymore i think, had drastically reduced credit limit of existing users recently

Niyo global - not a credit card, it's prepaid forex card, no rewards i think

Yes Marquee - Difficult to get for many

And most RBL World Safari holders like myself are old timers who were migrated from RBL Zomato Editions Card, plenty got it LTF, others like me get fee wavier, so no harm in holding it
Also Domestic lounge access, priority pass with 2/yr visits and free Travel insurance

And i got a call from retention team with offer to waive off fee,
Funny thing is i don't use this card at all,
But I'm an old customer of RBL ever since they launched Zomato Editions Classic, so over half a dacade ago

I got RBL world safari upgrade offer. But, how to waiver the fee by calling customer care? What to say? Could you elaborate the process?

HDFC is a totally different beast, getting anything from them is not easy

AU is easy for people living in big cities,
I closed my yes properity edge long time back and now they won't give me any card, not that i care
But I've from others here that Marquee is difficult to get

I am currently using RBL world safari Zero forex card
But I also need another one. (preferably one which comes with international lounge)

Any recommendations for the same?
Something which doesnt need 10-12Lakhs of yearly expense for annual fees waiver.
