Nahi bharat qr alag product h but kuch banks/companies isko pos ke sath bundle karke dete h. Yaha tier 3 city me merchant ko knowledge nahi rahta h to kuch log jinke pass hdfc ka current account h wo log hdfc ke dwara diya gya qr lga lete ye soch ke ki upi se payment receive karenge lekin wo bharat qr rahta h.
Btw UPI QR apps can pay any Bharat QR merchant. Only Bharat QR-only apps like SBI Card cannot pay UPI QR merchants.

In gpay when I add apay visa card, it does not show option while paying after qr scan, it always take default savings account as payment method.
Yes, that means the QR code you are scanning is not Bharat QR but regular UPI QR. If it's Bharat QR, only then credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) are shown. You can pay with your RuPay CC on this one.

We can't get a BharatQR just like that. Banks will do proper KYC and verification, you may have to submit GSTIN or Udhog Aadhaar and such docs, maybe even require a current account and then they will give BharatQR. And it will have usual MDR for any type of card, Visa, Mastercard and even RuPay above certain amount.

For BharatQR, only bank apps or GPay are an option and sadly HDFC, Axis, BOB, RBL, OneCard and Yes don't support BharatQR in their bank apps (only SBI, ICICI, IDFC, Kotak, Indus have it). For HDFC, Axis, BOB, RBL, OneCard - have to use GPay on Android only - it's the only supported app. You could get a very cheap phone just for payments and rewards (if the rewards are going to cross the cost of the phone)

Some Mastercard CCs and DCs have a major OTP-never-comes problem on GPay that Mastercard isn't interested in fixing for BharatQR txns. Visa cards no issues usually. Lately BOB cards are broken on GPay - some invalid mobile number issue even though the number is correct, at least BOB Visa cards. Anyone has BOB Mastercard to test?
