Dbs atm are very less, branches also less, the old lvb branches converted to dbs are dumb they don't know much about their bank itself.

DBS is equivalent to Airtel when it comes to promotional offers etc.. conjuse and always there will be a catch.

Very difficult in getting a annual statement, we need to take either quarterly or monthly, and always it will be in descending order.

This is my experience so I closed my dbs account and also my family lvb
akka dbs .

It's been 9 months I closed, Not sure if there are any improvements now.

I recently took their salary account in Nov. They opened it as treasures priority and there has been no call to show me any advantage on debit cards(I don't believe there is any reward rate on their debit card so why would I spend anything on it) + I haven't received any email with their ongoing offers(like timesprime, amazon prime etc) or the spend offer screenshots you provided. Their debit card page also lacks any relevant information and the tnC of the card.

One thing to note is their treasure's priority is a complete waste as they have divided it into treasures silver, gold, and platinum.. Having platinum or gold might have some worth due to some benefits but I wouldn't keep 30lac+ trv with them on regular basis since getting magnus burgandy with 30lac trv in axis would be much more lucrative.. I have not seen any advantage of having a salary account with them yet.

Only staying to get some credit card offer(like spark or vantage) and then would move to some other bank.

Is there a tnC page of the offers you shared in screenshot? like holiday package what's that or any more info?

Edit: here's the full tnC, looks like they put lots of ifs and buts for everything as always.. ----> https://www.dbs.com/in/iwov-resources/pdf/corporate/cep-tnc.pdf

Ok, thanks bruh

@pgarg24 thanks for sharing the experience. I was thinking of taking DBS salary account last month. Spoke to 2 or 3 executives. All of them talked like there are a lot of offers and promises were sky high. I was eligible for treasures variant too. But somehow I didn't have the confidence to go with them. So I dropped the plan.

I opened HDFC instead. Very happy with it so far. Excellent experience overall. Exceeded all my initial thoughts and expectations.

Yeah I would have taken hdfc if they provided me something😂😂 since I already have dcb and they wouldn't provide me with infinia so went with dbs so that I might atleast get some new credit card since dbs only issue card for it's account holders as of now..
I might change it back to axis... Right now I should have 5-6 months(hopefully) before they downgrade me from burgandy.

insightful, thanks for sharing.

ICICI is by far best salary account and next is Kotak if CC is not the primary requirement.
Majority of things can be done online without branch visits or via RM through emailing scanned forms !!

Mobile Apps are great for both; Kotak has the ActivMoney feature which automatically parks money into linked FD and supports IPO ASBA against the linked FDs; with ICICI we need to manually do Money Multiplier FD for linked FD but easy to do from app.

ICICI also starts offering pre-approved loans - Home, Personal, etc. which starts reflecting in your account after 2months of salary credit.

Having experience of using mostly all the primary banks ICICI, Kotak, IDFC, HDFC & Axis my recommendations goes for above 2.

Is Vantage a good card? Is it given LTF to DBS customers?

Having burnt through too many bank accounts in last 6-7 years (some 17-18) I couldn't agree more. While not all rosy and cosy ICICI, HDFC, and Kotak are still the best among lots of much worse options. Luckily I had opened my HDFC account when DCB was given LTF by just giving a 2.5L cheque at a/c opening. Today's HDFC would rather give you their MD's both kidneys than a credit card.

No vantage not a good card to be honest wrt reward rate or benefits(with fees of 10,20 or 50k).. certainly not given ltf.. I tried getting it but they said you would get a email for credit card eligibility after 2-3 month's deposit of salary.. but as far as I know they are sourcing spark more than vantage.

I found their Spark range bizarre. Spark 5, 10, 20. I was like "what the…". So since they are doing that tier thing - something tells me they don't even give Spark LTF 🙂 (Definitely not highest tier Spark).

I will try to find a nearby OG DBS branch if there is any and give them a visit and try to feel whether opening a "daily expense savings a/c" with flawless net banking and mobile app with almost ZERO need to ever visit branch is possibility with them or not.

I think with dbs you won't need to visit them as they market themselves as digital bank.
Wrt to spark cc, I dont think many people got spark20 cc too.. they offer spark 5 or 10 mostly(and we know not many people have it too due to non-attractive reward system. Overall it's fine..
