DCB Metal Plan from scratch

I had a Swiggy card. Tried to upgrade to DCBM via priority redressal as I met salary criteria, but they denied
Probable reasons:
1. Non core to core upgrade
2. Spend criteria (Spent only 15K/month on that due to Swiggy limitations)

So i deactivated my Swiggy card in Aug. My Salary A/C is with them.
After a month, i checked for eligibility and found that a Diners club card (Not the black one) was there (purple).

My question is can I now get a DCBM directly via other means, or do i need to grind on another core card and meet spending criteria + salary criteria?

Side note : RM is not of much help here.

Now hdfc is mostly upgrading core cards and not the co branded cards.

First, confirm what the waiting period is for a fresh card application before applying for a new one.

I think you made a mistake in closing the Swiggy card; there was no need for that. You would have directly applied for the fresh DCBM offline or online, since you meet the salary criteria. now you may have to wait for the cooling period to get over.

Apply directly for DCBM, offline or online, get the application number, and when they reject it, mail the grievance team with the application number and your salary slip; they will approve it.

I can already choose eligible cards. DCB would be available for those who meet spend or salary criteria. since my spends on HDFC are 0 now as I dont have a CC with them, how will they

I had the Swiggy card , met the salary criteria , still got rejected , so I decided to get rid of the card , assuming I didn't meet the spend criteria if any , now since I don't have the Swiggy , i gto rid of 2 roadblocks , spend criteria (no hdfc cc left) and co brand to brand limitations . I did not find a fixed cooldown period for retrying anywhere, and my credit scores are in the good category. So i reached out to a branch today and they said get the salary slips printed , I will ask them again if I should wait or try with an offline application , my understanding if that if the cooldown period was not over , I would not have seen cards in my offer section online, it was not showing a month back (no offers for you) but it did show now , let's see what happens
