Hopefully at some point ICICI will offer miles transfer and a better reward rate till then DCB ME will almost always be better.

But one thing ICICI EMERALDE PRIVATE will be technically free because the ponits value is 1 rupee and you can claim it as statement credit, but dcb will have majoor acceptance issue

it isnt mentioned that it would be allowed at 1:1 value
it can be 0.75 or 0.5
the value of 1 rp would be 1 rs for vouchers and other transfer partners if any

As per the information received it's 1 RP = 1 INR even for statement credit

Yeah but 6L in a month is too high spend for a card
Less than a fraction would be able to do that.

They did say that 1 RP = ₹1. I assume it will stand for cash redemption too. Makes it a 3% returns card. Which for ICICI is a shocker!

It will never add up if you have lots of people or less people. If that's the pretty much only way to redeem, almost everyone will redeem it for 3%.

They must have got a huge marketing budget for this. Or someone in the product team messed up. Or whatever... get your 3% while it lasts!

Most ultra premium cards rarely make sense to the banks. It's always the mass marketed cards that bring in the revenues to sustain the business. Besides the number of people who will get their hands on this will be limited.
