Disable aadhar fingerprint authentication & turn on only when needed.

Unfortunately, I don't know if there's a way to disable AEPS in any specific bank (because it's built-in feature I believe) but you can contact bank & ask about it to disable it manually.

Yes, I have disabled the biometrics in the uidai.

When I checked with customer care, they said my aadhaar is linked with my savings account. I did check with the Bank Manager, they are clueless about how to check these details and provide me with a correct answer.

NPCI stepping in to stop AePS frauds, suggests ways to banks

The retail payment body which runs AePS wants banks to explicitly seek customer consent regarding this service at the time of account opening.

I do think it's better these private banks provide an option to disable them as per customer preference.

Anyone figured out how to disable AEPS in individual bank app or website? Say ICICI , HDFC, canara, axis , etc.
