Does applying for a Credit Card via Cashkaro lower the credit limit?

I'm planning to apply the SBI Cashback card via Cashkaro and the main thing I'm concerned with is will my credit limit get lower if I apply it this way?

Long story short my SBI Cashback application got rejected first time..actually declined because of the internal policies error and they said that my old card dues weren't settled which is an error on their end because I got it settled long back and recently I got the NDC letter from them.

They first told me to apply again on April 22nd. Then when I went to contact them again, they now said to apply it again after June 25th since they gave the NDC letter and are recomending to apply it on June 25th for some reason.

But what I'm worried now is if I apply via Cashkaro will the credit limit I end up getting be lower than on the main site? Reason I ask this is the SBI CB card covers upto 5000 INR in the card statement and since it offers 5% CB at the max, I would need a credit limit of atleast 1 Lakh to get the 5000 cap. Anything lower just makes the 5k cap misleading.

Again based on what I read and some people saying that third party apps lower the credit limit, in this particular card it is important to atleast get the 1 lakh credit limit because of the cap of 5000.

Cibil Score is 780 as of now and I have closed my Jupiter card. I only have the Amazon Pay and Pixel credit cards both combined have credit limit of 2.93 Lakhs.

My personal experience and honest opinion.

No. Applying credit card through cashkaro will not reduce your credit limit. It will neither increase or decrease your chances of approval. SBI cashback is famous for giving lowest possible limit like 20,000, 35,000, or 50,000.

It doesn't matter from which platforms you apply. In general, if approved, you will get much lower limit than your previous cards. 95% probability you won't be getting 1,00,000 or higher limit in SBI Cashback Card. Approval rate also lower, something like 20% to 33% at best.

Hope, I solved your queries.

Does declining such low limit offer help?
Do they consider having high limits with other banks?

Perhaps nobody tested. I won't suggest.
Best route is take another sbi card then transfer the limit by calling customer care.
Understood, what do you mean by taking other card and transfer?
Do they specifically give lower limit to cb card and better limits to other variants?
Hence to get better limit, get another card and then request them to change variant to CB card?

Cashkaro has no influence over your approval chances or credit limit. Don’t overcomplicate things. Apply through Cashkaro (or any similar platform) if you want cashback on card approval, otherwise, apply directly.

No! This is most likely just a theory made up by people who unfortunately received a low limit on their CB card. My first SBI card was the CB card, approved with a credit limit of 1L (now almost ₹3L), while my second card, the SimplyCLICK, was approved with a meagre 25K (still 25K, lol).

So, in short, it depends more on your overall credit profile than on the platform you apply through or the specific card you choose.

Not like that. In case you got sbi cashback with 20k limit and if you already have or later applied any other sbi card where you got limit like 1 lacs then you can transfer 80k limit to cashback card. Thus your cashback card become 1 lacs limit and other card with 20k limit only. Sbi allows to transfer card limit from one card to other.

Cashkaro and other similar platforms acts as agents for customer acquisition for the card issuing companies. AFAIK CC application verification, approval and credit limit assignment is not done by them.

I am not concerned about the platform issue (I am aware that it won't provide lesser limit)
But concerned about getting lower limit on this card due to its variant. But now you have cleared that you received good enough limit on it, so I'll directly go for cb card.

Understood, so I should first apply cb card only, right?
Incase I get extremely low limits, then I need to get some other card later and then transfer it's limit to cb?

If you are new to SBI and need cashback card then always apply first for cashback card only.
If you get low limit then you can try for limit increase or apply other card.
