My friend lives in US and I had ordered a iPhone on Apple US website and paid using my Amazon Pay ICICI credit card.
Due to some damages the item could not be delivered and the merchant processed the refund.
I was hopefully that i would get refund of my Forex fees also since it was the merchant who cancelled it, but that was not the case when i looked at my statement, and i get charged Forex fees for refund as well. This is a ~8.5% loss for nothing.
Called the customer support and they said they cant waive off, should i take it up with RBI?
Has anyone had similar experiences?
Also please contribute if any Credit card who don't do this so that people can be aware. I read some comments that AMEX and HDFC refund the Forex fees.
