During HDFC’s online account opening process, am I allowed to select a home branch that is located outside my city of residence?

Do I get to choose a home branch of my choice, or do they give me a home branch as per the communication address I fill in in the form or as per the location they detect during the video kyc process?

I’m planning to open an HDFC account to get pre-approved credit card offers but I dont want an account with a very high MAB.

Yes I have. Once you fill your basic details like mobile number, Aadhar card, PAN card details & then it will lead you choose the branch according to your choice/ locality.

I heard that they fail video KYC , of u r not present at ur communication address during video KYC .
Also choosing branch is in possible at City of communication address.
Pls tell what happened in ur journey ??
