Best PSU bank for online account opening process

Hi TFians,

In your experience, which PSU bank has a quick, hassle free and smooth savings account opening process? I am from a metro city and I already hold ICICI, HDFC, Indie, Indian Bank and CUB accounts.

I was also asked to give KYC documents. I told them "it is new account opened last month, do i need to give documents?"
Then she said, "if it is new account then no need only sign this form it'll be done".
then she downgraded account to 101 within mins.

Yess, just confirmed with cx executive, mine is also downgraded.

Are you sure for this whole quarter baroda will consider ₹2k QAB? And not on pro-rata basis?

Yupp.
I opened account in last may. And downgraded today. So not sure, but maintaining 30k.

Done. You gets FYF rupay select and visa Sapphire DC without branch visit and post that a low amb account.

you are absolutely wrong. Today I have been charged 354 for rupay plat. 590 for select and 885 for sapphire. account was downgraded few days ago.
baroda is not an idiot to waive off charges for downgraded account. So, it's a humble request to please confirm yourself before posting on public forum.

I'll suggest you to wait for atleast 3-4 months so that chances of getting charged with dc fee is less.

Not yet, today is Friday so used 3 Rupay Plat DC

I am slightly confused which account to open.
There are 3 PSU banks within 200m.of my residence SBI(opened since 1 year) ,BOB(opened 1 month back),BOI(will open soon)

I have pathetic branch experience with other BOB branches within the vicinity( had account with BOB but closed it) , however completely different & opposite story with SBI branches(i dont have account with SBI , but my wife has and branch was always helpful and they were less crowded compared to BOB )

I am ok to maintain the reqd minimum balance for bob lite which will in a way issue a medium variant of debit card free. But not sure if it will be possible to open a new bob lite account since I already had one before. Or SBI or BOI is better overall.

SBI app is very much decent ,
BOB app is too much irritating at times and confusing.
Also i have heard that ther are no sms alert charges in SBI.
BOI used it like 10 yrs back still seeing their app , technology looks very old.

Their service will only be good if you buy anything thru them. Personally i feel it depends on branch. Sbi near me has excellent service. ICICI has pathetic service,hdfc near me is not bothered to give me free locker for infinia unless i do fd with them
