EasyShop HDFC query.

Hi all,

New to TF. Apologies if my question is dumb.
I've recently opened an account with HDFC solely for the purpose of 1% cb on CC bill.

I opted for their "Premium Salary" account online.
However they opened a "Savings Max" account.

They also auto assigned a LTF Millenia debit card.
I see an option within the app to "upgrade card".
If I click it, it shows multiple options including "Platinum Debit Card". (Please refer to image attached)

My question is - how do I know if this option to upgrade will help in getting the EasyShop card?
If this option isn't the one, does bank accept requests through branch for EasyShop?

Afaik you get easy shop Platinum Debit card along with savings max account as well. If not the Platinum Debit Card in the above image is the Easy shop Platinum Debit Card through which you can get 1% CB on CC bill payments via HDFC Bill pay

The Platinum debit card is the one you are looking for, but I would advise you to get the upgrade done through the branch. In my experience, if you try to upgrade through the app, you may still end up with the same card variant. This has not only been my experience; others have encountered it too. 😅

Better visit branch and tell them you want to change to Platinum DC. They will process your request.

If your spend isnless millenia is better. If you still want to upgrade, contact branch. And confirm there would be no issuance charge. With savings max you should have automatically gotten esp.

Thanks, my card bill usually crosses 50k so thought of getting easyshop.

I got the Millenia with savings max. Not sure why.
