Effect of EMI on Credit Score related question

I made a purchase of 39k as a 3 month EMI using my BOB credit card which has an 80k Limit. Now the EMI's per month will be 13k which is less than 30% of my credit limit but the total credit blocked from card is 39k which is roughly 50% od my credit limit. Will it impact my credit score? Also, what happens if I make a payment of 20k on the card via Cred as repayment before statement generation, will if help?

no seperate EMI LOAN acc reporting is done on credit card emi...so your credit utilization for Bob will be reported as 39k ie 50℅ if that's the only card you have then your utilization will be 50% so yes it drops cibil by few points but would regain lost points in few on time payments.... but if you more than one card your total usage on all cards is utilization ratio combined on all against credit limit available so.... it depends
+now cibil also tracks month on month utilization ratio if that's drastically changed above 30% then also the score is affected but still it's just a matter of on time payments to recover that
repayment of 20k before bill generation will help keeping cur below 30% but it's your call... if you're repaying earlier itself why did you opt for emi +gst +charges.... you're paying more to bank... if you have got some specific offer or misunderstood then ok take whatever you think is good... but cibil drop would be recoveree in couple of months

Thanks for the detailed answers, I do have multiple Credit cards (8) so I guess the cumulative limit ratio is below 30 percent. I was assuming that limit utilisation was with respect to a singe card. Thanks for clearing the doubt.

used limit over a longer period that above 50% affects cibil a little bit a shorter period of time. as soon as you free it your cibil will go up again
