Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal - Discussion

My RM has been able to at least apply for the card. Not sure if this in any way guarantees that it will be approved. They don't even know what the actual eligibility is and whether I meet the criteria.

Just submitted standard documents for any other CC. Very very casual process just like any other credit card. Don't know if I should be happy or sad about this.

This is the normal process of ICICI when applied with help of RM. Doenst matter which variant you are applying. All would go through this process, with hlelp of backend team.
Good to see having a supportive RM.
All the best.

Bhai, several people have got EPM in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Think HNI people would be less from non-metro cities. So the BM would be more bothered to retain them.
Do approve to have WM account from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
🤐

Anyone else missing the upgrade credit card in their iMobile app?
Can't see in net banking as well. I had option to upgrade to emerald pvc for long time 😛, but its gone now for any kind of upgrade.

Just check with your RM if memos have been raised and if those memos are approved, product will intake application only through memo ( 6-7 approvals in the memo ) and rest 4-5 approvals happen at product post intake.

Everyone in ICICI management needs to see every individual card application. 🤣 Quite funny when it's paid and there is quite high eligibility criteria as well.

Sounds good. Any heavy trv or itr involved?

Let us know how it goes

Really?
You mean on basis of TRV right?
Logic makes sense. An HNI has much higher value in tier 2/3 city.

I received an invite from ICICI bank on my mail for EPM within a month of opening a wealth management salary account (a few months back).

WM salary account opening was pretty much straightforward for me based on my income and ICICI's relationship with my employer. I wasn't actually aware of this card when I opened my salary account with them, my only intention was to avail the preferential exchange rates that ICICI offers to WM customers. The ICICI representative was actually pushing for private banking, but one of my colleagues had a private banking account earlier and his RM used to spam him every week with a number of investment suggestions, and it did not get better for him even after changing the RM. So I simply went for a WM account as it worked for my requirement. Prior to opening the salary account, I already had two ICICI LTF cards for over a year - Sapphiro and Amazon Pay, and my credit limit was 10L for both of them.

For EPM, I closely miss the net monthly salary credit criteria of 3L+ that many people have quoted, but the ICICI representative had requested details of my last ITR while opening the salary account, as nearly half of my income is in form of stock units from my employer. So I guess they used all of these to determine my eligibility and accordingly shared the invite. My RM called me the very next day of sharing the email invite to check if I'd like to avail the card, once I confirmed he initiated the application on my behalf. I received the card within a week.

I don't know if they would still offer EPM with the above criteria, especially after so much hype with the launch of iShop portal. But it is worth a try if you can open a wealth management account and make it your salary account.

Thanks for the detailed information.
Can we open salary account directly as wealth management or open standard salary account (privilege) and upgrade later to WM?
What is the net salary needed to open as WM salary account directly?
Also if it is OK, pls can you tell which branch or which city?

My BM was ready to arrange EPM paid for 50L funds before launch of iShop now they are asking for 3cr
Your BM just want to take undue advantage. Negotiate with any other branch BM & see if any professional deal you guys can crack, which can be mutually beneficial for both you & BM. If any BM sense desperation for any of their product, they will use it to gain maximum investment for their branch.

If I have to put that much amount in any branch then it will be only because I wish to, not because of any BM or definitely not for any credit card of any bank.

There are many ways to get your desired credit card. Patience is the key.
