Eligibility Criteria for ICICI Emeralde Private Metal - Discussion

Update: My epm got approved today!

I was trying to get it from mid-Feb. Took a solid 2 months to get approved!
Congratulations on your approval.
The process to get EPM is complicated and different from all other Icici credit cards. First you have to get 3-4 approvals, Branch Manager, Regional Head, Sales Head, State Head. State Head approval is hardest to get. After approval RM or cc agent will apply for the credit card.
If there is any deviation, they need to get Credit Team approval also. Did your RM mentioned anything about it?
If you apply the credit card before the approvals, your application will simply be withdrawn after few weeks.
Yes, without approvals, application will be withdrawn.

yes,it seems there are plenty of approvals neededfor this card...
I am not that much intereted in this card, but my contacts at ICICI wanted to give a try for me ..
They are trying with 50L TRV, icici sapphro 15L CL, with income deviation.. lets see what happens.. they wanted 1Cr TRVat least as my income is not meeting the criteria.. But i said i couldolydo 50l TRV.. let's see what happens...
Process will start tomorrow..

In ICICI Bank, loan does not count as TRV as per information from my branch head. Strange policy. They only consider deposits, CASA and demat holdings.

They are sitting strong on PPOP, 3L Net Salary, 10L CL for existing Credit Card, 1-2 Cr TRV.

But for everything there is deviation approvals. Depends on BM power or Corporate RM power. Not sure how they are getting, All the best for you.

EPM is getting approved for folks easier than I expected. I feel, Infinia is relatively tougher. But again it all depends on one’s experience.

Not exactly. Easy task is for the people who are getting it. Some eligible people are not getting it.

I agree with this. Getting epm is a matter of hit and trial even if you meet the crtieria.

Getting infinia is a well defined process.
Oh you bought a car with our hdfc credit card, AND it has >8L CL; kudos here is ur infinia.

Ha ha Exactly.

Spends and CL matters the most in HDFC cases. Else you had other options in the past, not sure whether it is working anymore.

Yeah if hdfc removes the spend based upgrade to infinia, then it will definitely become much more exclusive than epm. The number of people having 90L as base salary (without bonus, esops) is really low.

Yep, funny part is that even for govt employees it’s 3.5L net, I have no idea except for the President of India who else would qualify with that kind of net so that ridiculous.
My point is that for EPM eligibility is still 3L net and quite a few qualify for it. In some cases as @abhiaj_geek was indicating, people got their card approved even with lesser than 3L net. In case of Infinia even for upgrades one need to have a 10L CL on existing card which is difficult for a good no. despite qualifying on spends. Hdfc is a bit stingy about CL hike unlike ICICI. I had a cl of about 3-5L in my Apay card, I never used it well, and ICICI offered me an CL hike to 10L. Again as I said experience varies person to person.

When was this? Now a days ICICI is even stringent on enhancing CL.

Yeah, this for sure.
