Emerald Private Metal or Infinia Metal Card

Hi,
I already have Sapphiro LTF and DCB LTF. I have high value loan and hence wanted to make use of this opportunity to get higher variant card on LTF.

1. HDFC told they can give FYF Infinia metal but I asked for LTF. HDFC RM is pushing to get me Infinia LTF card.
2. ICICI told they can give Emerald private metal card but paid version for sure.

I am not into miles game and not very frequent air traveler. I have future plans (next year) for travel. As of now, mostly using DCB for online shopping (Amazon/Flipkart), hotel (stay) booking and other retail spends. Wherever DCB won't work, I am using Sapphiro. I like HDFC for simplicity in terms of rewards and ease of using rewards.

I don't want paid card even if it gives rewards back (it's not equal cash money) but I don't want to let go of my situation of this high value loan. Do you think HDFC may give Infinia as LTF? I am fine even with plastic but I have read they stopped issuing for new customers. I am not sure how feasible is Infinia metal LTF. Just taking my chances.

If I decide to take paid version, then which one should I take? If I take Emerald Private metal card, then I can easily get 750 cashback per month for paying statement bills and also I like that they giving reward points 1:1 for statement pay. With Infinia, I will miss out on this cashback per month from debit card. Ultimately both card will make it like "I don't need any further card" situation for me. I get everything including unlimited lounge access via PP. Currently, only major missing thing with DCB is non-acceptance compared to Infinia for my usage and not all lounge access is via PP (but no complains since Diners coverage is very good and enough for me to refresh & stay in layovers).

What you guys suggest? What will you do in my situation?

I also have Sapphiro LTF and DCB LTF. Can you DM your RM contact details for ICICI and HDFC. My RM is useless. I want to upgrade to Infinia and Emerald private metal card. I am okay with Paid.

What is your current limit on Sapphiro LTF and DCB LTF?

Hi, ICICI contact is Corporate RM, not sure how helpful that will be.

From whatever heard, Infinia Paid is very much possible if you meet eligibility criteria or RM raises for approval.

Get Infinia unless really want Private metal CC as well. we all thought that it is going to be flat 3% reward rate in cash credit but they simply changed t&c just now. now 1RP = 0.4 rs. so all value lost.

How are you planning to use Infinia and Emerlad Private CC effectively? isn't Infinia sufficient? I am also after Emerald PVT but only interested in LTF but not sure how to use it for rewards points as Infinia provides more returns.

Ask your ICICI relationship manager.
It's not in the "Best cards for 2024" list, unlike Infinia
I asked him, he redirected it to his credit card team, they said need salary more than 3L atleast.

What I need is is there any C2C method or spends criteria that need to be satisfied like infinia to be eligible for this card?

36 lakhs annual salary or card to card with existing limit of over 10 lakhs.
I DON'T THINK IT IS WORTH IT WHEN INFINIA IS MUCH BETTER.

For HDFC Infinia it is 42 lakhs annual income tax return or 10 lacs limit for card to card or 8 lakhs in your existing HDFC card with a 7 lakh spend in the preceding 6 months

Agreed.

But infinia is a bit hard to get approval for even if you satisfy criterias other than salary. Can be a hit and miss.

If you CIBIL above say 780 and a decent cc with 5L above, I guess you will get marquee..
Just my guesstimate
Marquee is good for non spend based benefits, like 1+1 movies, unlimited international Lounge access + 8 free guest visits and golf.

But the highest return is only 4.5% online which is beaten by so many other cards, including--
SBI cashback (5% online upto 5000/1lac)
Yes Reserve with 3x (6% online)
Yes Reserve with 5x (9% online for travel, dining, fashion and Healthcare)
Axis Atlas 4--6% online & offline.
Axis Atlas 10--12% on direct hotels, direct flights, Agoda.
Magnus Burgundy 4.80 online/offline
Magnus Burgundy 24.00% on flights on Traveledge
Infinia 3.33--13.46% on Smartbuy
Amex MRCC 4x1500 over 10% online and offline
Amex Gold 6x1000 over 10% online and offline

Yea along with that need to see if there will be any devaluation on these cards as return rates seen unsustainable.
