EPF Claim - reg

I have applied for complete withdrawl from EPFO after 4 years of service as i am not working for the last one year.. The same was rejected for 2 reasons -

1) Sudden hike in wage needs clarification.

2) Photocopy of passbook not attested by bank manager

For the reason 2, I attched cheque leaf as it was one of the option. However, i can resubmit with a passbook copy attested by bank manager

For the reason 1, I do not understand the rejection reason and who has to give clarification. There is regular increment and promotions every year which cause wage hike. What is the problem for EPFO if the employer contribute more and why EPFO has to reject claim. Can any of the members had such experiece and guide me what to do next.

EPFO took 3 months for sanction of partial withdrawal. You can escalate/appeal . After my second escalation/appeal they processed my withdrawal request.
