EV Vehicle Prices might Increase from 1st April 2025.

Pm e drive subsidy was supposed end on 31st March 2026. But I've received notification from tvs that it is set to decrease from 1st april. May be Govt. had allocated different amount for 2 fy.

So if you were planning to buy ev ,keep it in mind. There could be significant price jump. Tvs is sending notification that icube price might increase by 30k.

If TVS info us accelerate, Bajaj Chetak & ola might be affected too.

ROI on ev will decreased. Still ev gives some roi in comparison to petrol ones
Roi- return on investment?

Actually ev costs much higher wrt similarly specd ICE vehicle. Fuel cost is low(only if you charge in your house), regular maintenance is low but long term ownership cost is still pretty high.

When you consider limitations on usability due to limited range & availability of experience mechanic , the scale tips against it more.

In pure financial terms ev doesn't stand a chance against cng/ diesel vehicle. Ev could be better choice if you intend to use it at least 1k kmpm and within city limits, & to charge only in your house.

Exactly.

One more point is the joy of driving an engine is always different driving a battery car.

I was travelling in EV taxi from Bangalore airport to city...Driver told, he made big mistake of buying Tata Nexon EV...With EV, he can only complete two trips to & fro from airport as he has to to put it on charge after two trips which takes eternity...With diesel, he used to do 5/6 daily trips so it is impacting his earning....Now he is not finding buyers for his EV car

CNG, Flex Fuels, Hydrogen Fuels might be the best alternatives. Even those has to be tested. EV is always better to have has an second vehicle and will not suit for commercial purposes.
