Hotel: Grand Mercure, GIFT City, Gandhinagar

Fed up by the monsoons in Mumbai, wanted to travel somewhere where I can enjoy the sun. So, decided to head to Ahmedabad.
Booked it back in June when they were running some promotion for Accor Plus members. So, managed to get it for around 2800/night after tax with breakfast included.
The Hotel:
The hotel is situated around 20 kms from Ahmedabad Airport in GIFT City next to SBI and LIC offices.
After entering, there is a separate priority desk for status holders so in 5 mins the formalities were completed.
Even though I reached at around 9 am, they were ready to give the room. As they were cleaning the room, they offered me to have the breakfast without any extra charges till the time they set my room.
The Room:
I had booked the Superior room which is their base room. For the price I paid, it is definitely worth it.
Got a room on the 9th floor which is the top floor at the hotel.
The room was decent and spacious enough. I really loved the interiors and the colour combinations.

Food and Amenities:
The hotel had a small gym and a swimming pool which is expected from a 5-Star. Other than that there is a bar which is open till 8pm except on Sundays and public holidays. (Gujarat things! 😅)
In terms of food, overall it was good. I liked their vegan options. Decent variety of main course items, cheese amd desserts. Can't comment on the taste in case of non-vegetarian options as I didn't try it. I wish their had more options for vegetarians.
They asked me if I wanted anything for dinner but as I didn't want anything they offered desserts last night for free.
Overall:
Overall experience has been solid. One of my best experiences with Accor. The staff did everything to make this stay a memorable one. Only positive feedback for them from my side.
The only issue is it is a bit far from happening places in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar and public transport is minimal.
