Experience with credit card billing cycle change

ltf4ever

TF Legend
rbi has allowed users to get their billing cycle change (only once).

i tried with 3 banks and here is my experience:
1) indusind (via email): very smooth experience and request closed within 3 days... informed me that from next cycle, the date will be updated.
2) icici: i wrote to customer.service@icicibank.com. they took 4 days for response and replied that I should contact 'customer service' 😐😅
3) hsbc: sent a secure email from netbanking. they replied with an automated response and did not commit on any timeline. still not sure whether they will ever look into it. i had simultaneously sent an email to complaints.india@hsbc.co.in. they replied saying that the email id is only for complaints and not service related queries and that i should contact customer care.

any experiences that you all would like to share?

Some banks have app-based system to easily change the billing cycle. Some work through customer care feedback. But even before new RBI rule, banks did change the billing cycle on customer request. ICICI, Axis, HDFC, Kotak have better experience compared to others. Overall, never faced any complications or needed follow-up for changing the billing cycle till now.

I changed my ICICI billing cycle through app. App has only few custom dates. Was fine with me. For specific date, should contact phone banking. Changed Axis billing cycle through web chat. Overall a smooth experience. Changed them to manage CCs properly. Didn't try to change HDFC as it's uncertain as to how many decades they'll take.

I have two cards of hdfc bank . Have changed my dcb cycle already . Got tata neu recently . Bank is saying you have already availed this option once and i am unable to change for my new card . Is it restricted at a bank level ?

Have you been able to change it for your second card? I recently got Millenia CC and changed my statement date to 2nd of every month. They said it is changeable once in your lifetime.

Federal: The billing cycle can be changed only between 15-20th in a month. There should not be any outstanding amount due.
There are some 4-5 predefined dates and you can choose one among them. It can be done from the app itself.
