hmm, so if I have a SBI card I can just keep applying for new cards, moving 90% of their limit to my current card, cancelling new card and doing it again after a couple of months? Then can I just do this until my limit reaches 20-30 lakhs in a couple years?
Pahle mera dost bhi aise hi krta tha, phir ek din kachre ki gaadi use utha kar le gyi.
Jokes 😂🤣 apart, it doesn't work anymore. SBI strictly follow over-leverage policy. They won't approve you new cards after 4-5 successful approvals for a long time. And even after 2nd successful approval, if u apply again and luckily it goes ahead, then u will get a call at last stage asking for consent to transfer x amount of limit from your existing card or the system will randomly allocate.
Examples:
1. Applied SBI pulse cc, got 82k limit, downgraded to SBI SimplyClick. Applied BPCL after 2-3 months, got approval with 43k limit. Whole limit tranferred and card closed within 3 months. Applied paytm sbi, and got fresh 23k limit. Now SBI changed policy of complete tranfer of credit limit, so only 13k tranferred and base 10k left. Card closed again after 3 months. Now comes the hardest part. SBI launched Cashback cc, applied, rejected. Rejected and rejected till the date. In between applied many other cc, like BPCL, Vistara, etc etc. all got rejected.
2. Applied SimplyClick, got 20k limit. SBI launches cashback card, applied and luckily got approved with 62k separate limit. Got L.E of 15k and 12k consecutively on SimplyClick. Tranferred 37k limit to cashback cc. Recently applied SBI miles and got 40k limit deducted from cashback cc.
3. Applied SBI Prime card, got 86k limit. Downgraded to SimplyClick. Applied many cards, like BPCL, Paytm, Vistara, Cashback, Miles, etc. All got rejected. In between got pre approved SimplySave but with limit split. So not applied. Recently SBI during review of credit limits, slashed 🪓 46k limit.

It used to work last year. I'm not sure about now.
