I have a sbi cashback cardw ith limit of 1.17Lac and have been using this card from september 2022 and have been using it religiously. MOst odf shopping carnivals like Flipkart BBD and amazon sale dont offer discount on this card and I ws thinking of getting any other sbi card but was told for 6 months cooling period before applying for any other Sbi card. Bugt last week i recieved a offer to get BPCL/Simply click card as add on card for my cashback card with sharing/merging of existing credit limit with new add on card pre-approved offer. I want higher limit card so should I wait for new application or should I get this card for occasonal sale discounts.

Even if it is a new application, you will only receive a shared limit.
If pre-approved - shared limit
If new application - new limit

Correct. SBI don't do shared limit. You have to move limit between cards. Getting new card doesn't guarantee new high limit.
I had Simply Save -₹84k
I got Simply Click (pre-approved) - Shared limit with Simply Save

New application for Cashback SBI Card - ₹77k (new seperate limit)

I had BPCL with 1.4L limit. Simplyclick preapproved. Moved all limit to simplyclick and kept 10k in bpcl. Sent LE request to bpcl which then incresed from 10k to 2.44L. Applied cashback - got 10k limit, moved 1.9L from Bpcl to cash back.

Should I wait for new frah card application or simply apply for this bpcl card and then raise LE for cashback card?

bhai thoda samjhao mujhe, mere pas sbi simply click hai already 1 lac limit ka. I have pre qualified offer in SBI netbanking. SBI might be considering me over leveraged. I have around 10 cc other than SBI. So my query is that if I apply for SBI cashback card afresh, SBI would give me common limit, or new limit or this 1 lac would be divided amongst both cards ??

hmm, so if I have a SBI card I can just keep applying for new cards, moving 90% of their limit to my current card, cancelling new card and doing it again after a couple of months? Then can I just do this until my limit reaches 20-30 lakhs in a couple years?

I have sbi simply click since long. They were offering pre-approved SimplySave for many months and finally I took it about 2 months back.
How much shall I wait before applying for SBI Cashback Card?

Pahle mera dost bhi aise hi krta tha, phir ek din kachre ki gaadi use utha kar le gyi.

Jokes 😂🤣 apart, it doesn't work anymore. SBI strictly follow over-leverage policy. They won't approve you new cards after 4-5 successful approvals for a long time. And even after 2nd successful approval, if u apply again and luckily it goes ahead, then u will get a call at last stage asking for consent to transfer x amount of limit from your existing card or the system will randomly allocate.

Examples:

1. Applied SBI pulse cc, got 82k limit, downgraded to SBI SimplyClick. Applied BPCL after 2-3 months, got approval with 43k limit. Whole limit tranferred and card closed within 3 months. Applied paytm sbi, and got fresh 23k limit. Now SBI changed policy of complete tranfer of credit limit, so only 13k tranferred and base 10k left. Card closed again after 3 months. Now comes the hardest part. SBI launched Cashback cc, applied, rejected. Rejected and rejected till the date. In between applied many other cc, like BPCL, Vistara, etc etc. all got rejected.

2. Applied SimplyClick, got 20k limit. SBI launches cashback card, applied and luckily got approved with 62k separate limit. Got L.E of 15k and 12k consecutively on SimplyClick. Tranferred 37k limit to cashback cc. Recently applied SBI miles and got 40k limit deducted from cashback cc.

3. Applied SBI Prime card, got 86k limit. Downgraded to SimplyClick. Applied many cards, like BPCL, Paytm, Vistara, Cashback, Miles, etc. All got rejected. In between got pre approved SimplySave but with limit split. So not applied. Recently SBI during review of credit limits, slashed 🪓 46k limit.
