Axis Atlas family trip to qatar and another trip to japan, paying for all using atlas, risky?

hello

i have family trip in first week of october (12 people inc children) going to qatar and i also want to book ana blue sale for two ppl. all payment will be made by the end of next week. i already did 120k worth payment.

i read post about atlas getting blocked for these spend i am travelling in these flights myself. my children n in laws are travelling

total cost will be around 4-5L qatar plus 1L for japan. will i be blocked bec i plan to use these edge miles in japan trip for accor hotel

i will hit 2L with 3 booking rest i can do flights using travel agent website like mmt or amazon or is that also problem??

Their email specifically mentioned that invoices are required only for travel related bookings, but only if your account is flagged by their automated software.

It is not about "will my card be blocked". It's about "when will my card be blocked".

Use the card and transfer you points once you hit every 1k or 2k miles. Atleast it won't effect your earned miles if your card is blocked

Step 1: in atlas edge miles portal will be blocked
Step 2: ask for invoices
Step 3: 1 week time only
Step 4: invoices given need return acknowledgement from email stating we got invoices it will be reviewed at this stage card won't be blocked
Step 5: if Step 4 not happening then Step 3 will be taken and card will be blocked.

no bro i understood for the 5EM airline website booking but what about OTA booking are those also considered travel spend with 2EM offered will they ask for invoices of that also?? that is my main question bro and is it per statement month or calendar month

they will ask sometimes like from this week to this week need an invoice or if specific transactions need an invoice. all receipts are to be kept.

i called customer care and they said family member booking/spending is considered as personal and not business/commercial

yes thats true what axis has said but when they ask you have to prove it its for family and personal to prove only you have to have something or else cant help that's why bank is trying to say.

axis wants people to prove they are family? how does one do that if names are different on passport like OP mentioned lmao, I suppose all people going to the same destination from the same airport does hold some weight

the only way is to hold the invoice of larger transactions or to provide any nearest doc like visa etc and prove which can be done as its a family trip its not a big deal to prove.

If ur name (first or last) is mentioned in the ticket and hotel bookings, then you need not worry. Axis wont be blocking your card. Even if it blocks, send them the invoices and they'll release block in 24-48hrs aince ur name is going to be on all the docs.
If you purchase ticket or book via third party (mmt, agoda etc) then u only get 2em for every 100 spent. Only and only airline official website, hotel official website and traveldge portal are considered for 5EM.

Ya there is risk of axes asking invoices (doesnt happen to everyone tho or not that frequently) i have used atlas extensively and have been asked only once in the past 12 mo. That too i just sent 1 or 2 invoices and declared in email i dont have other rceipts and they unblocked account). So dont overthink it if ur making genuine purchases.
Frankly, aince its a 4lakhs spend within 1 month, their system might flag it. Keep your invoices ready or else as someone said, call axes and let them know you're going to be making a big purchase (that way you're being proactive).
But if i were you, I'll just go ahead with the booking and deal with this as it comes.

PS: since mmt, yatra are all travel related companies, high purchases there also might trigger the system. Axes has a shitty way of doing business and we have to deal with it as they arent going to change for sure
