Fastag for second hand car

I have purchased a second hand car. The RTO is delaying the name transfer process.
In the meantime, I need a fastag for the car. The previous owner has hotlisted his fastag that was from HDFC bank.

I went to ICICI bank website and they are asking my name and voter id and then they are asking to upload RC of the vehicle.

Now the name on my voter id and name on RC will not match, so what is the option to get a fastag on this car?

No option until car gets transferred on your name.

Alternatively, ask previous owner to apply a fastag from nearest bank/agent for the car, so you can fulfill your travel needs.

That's only workaround.

The ID and name on RC do not need to be the same. Fastag is issued in your name. Car can be in someone else's name.

Buy from paytm, they're issuing hdfc fastags of you've kyc. They don't ask for anything apart from RC pic upload.

1. Do I need to cancel the current FASTag? I asked the previous owner to cancel the FASTag, but he says he didn't update the KYC and the FASTag is inactive. However, when I search the vehicle number in Park+, it shows to recharge the current HDFC FASTag.
2. I haven't received the physical RC of the vehicle. Can I buy a FASTag with a DigiLocker RC?
3. Please recommend a FASTag that is not connected to my bank account. I prefer to recharge and use the FASTag independently.
4. I plan to install a dash camera in my car, so I plan to stick the FASTag on the bit to left or right side of the windshield. Is that okay?

1.Buy a new one
2.is ownership transferred.
Even if not you just need a picture of RC,ask from seller for it.
3.you can buy any & can recharge independently, noone forces to link it with bank account.
4.yes,not an issue,you can affix it anywhere on windshield.
