Federal Bank is aggressively issuing core credit cards, making them easier to get with decent limits. However, getting a limit enhancement (LE) is tough and takes time.

I started my journey with Federal in Nov 2021 with a Fi Account, later adding Jupiter in Jan 2022. I used Fi actively until July 2023 before switching to IDFC. After that, Fi became a secondary account. Jupiter is also active.

Seeing SnowLucifer's post, I considered applying, but my Scapia card application was rejected in early March, leaving me unsure. After discussing it with @BeingIncog, I decided to try.

Applied on March 28:
✅ Uploaded my last 3 months' bank statement
✅ Choose Visa as the preferred network (no variant selection)
✅ If pre-approved, the bank statement step is skipped

The application number was generated, but no VKYC or verification call. I assumed it would be rejected like Scapia, but to my surprise, it got approved for Federal Signet with ₹75K! 🎉. It took a maximum of 2 hours to get approved.

Timeline:
📅 28th March – Applied & Approved Same Day
📦 29th March – Dispatched
📬 2nd April – Delivered

Now, I'm seeing the Wave Rupay card offer in the Federal App.

Any suggestions on how to get the Scapia card now? Also, an interesting point—there was no CIBIL hit this time, but during Scapia, there was.

Share your journey on how you got your Federal card and if this thread helped you in getting one! 🚀

Congratulations . .

My federal bank scapia rejected in March.
I had applied core federal cc in September it was also rejected.
I ask that time what's the reason for declining my cc application they said pin code not serviceable.
Can anyone share how can I check my area pincode is serviceable for federal cc or not?
Because I doubt pincode should not issue at all.

Low APR and Forex seems to be the only upside, I think better cards are there in the market right?

Had a Federal savings account and long-term banking relation with the bank. One fine evening, just applied, it asked for mobile number and pan, completed the application, and the card was instantly approved, no documents, no VKYC. Took them a month to send the physical card though! Since I had the account, could see the full card details on the app and I could start using the card straight away.
For the people who want to know about the benefits of a Federal core card, the benefits are not in terms of regular rewards, they aren't great at all. However, they have a wide range of upfront discounts.

Nowadays, Tier 1 & Tier 2 cities are serviceable in most of the cases.

No option to check.
Because I doubt pincode should not issue at all.
Suggest opening a Federal Account and giving it a try.
