I'm interested in opening an account with Federal Bank, and I'd like to learn more about their savings account options and hear about others' experiences. Could someone please share details about their personal experiences with Federal Bank's savings accounts? Additionally, I'm curious to know which account is considered the best at Federal Bank.

You can go for SB Plus variant 5k MAB.

or FED Excel 0 MAB If you meet their criteria (mostly for professionals).

Pros:

• Premium service at branch compared to HDFC, ICICI
• LTF credit card with offers
• Stable mobile application and website
• No transaction failure
• Debit card not mandatory
• Alerts are instant
• No unwanted calls

Cons:

• Useless phone and email support
• Most of the service requests need a branch visit
• Tech is not up to date

Debit card is optional for SB plus too? Is there an option to unselect debit card during account opening? Will there be any issues without the card while setting up internet banking/app.

Better service and card can be offered by other banks too.
Federal credit card are not good at all.

We can convert federal saving bank account from monthly average balance to zero balance after submitting xerox coy of post graduation degree and account change form. This is new offer today I got know from Bangalore Federal Bank branch.

My relationship with federal bank started when i got scapia credit card but i didn't activate it at all. Now I am having fi account which is basically neobanking via federal bank.

Though they are private, they are still par low in terms of its accounts & service offerings. wrt credit card, BOGO offer is there in BMS and some occasional online sale discounts as far as I have seen. Nothing exciting overall for me!

This is my personal opinion, please enlighten if I missed any of it's USP's.

Today I visited federal bank branch and submitted xerox copy of post graduation degree immediately they changed my federal saving account monthly average balance to zero balance. I opened this account to get "federal celesta credit card". And, Saving and credit card are linked so I cannot close now saving instead I did zero balance. International flight ticket I got good discount offer. Just sharing for my experience.
