Flipkart EMI Order Cancelled Immediately

Hi All,
I placed an EMI order ( not no-cost) on Flipkart using my HDFC Card, I changed my mind and cancelled the order after few minutes. Even though I have got a message from flipkart saying amount's refund has been initiated, get in touch with your bank. If anyone has a prior experience, will EMI be opened in this case or flipkart will settle the transaction before its opened. Will there be any charges in this case ?

Even if the refund comes in full, you need to call the customer care immediately to cancel the emi.

In most cases this is is not automatic.

So as soon as the refund reflected in your account, you should have called CC and cancelled it.

I assume you let it be and expected it to auto cancel? And only later cancelled it from mycards?

Call CC and explain in detail, they should reverse the charge

Bro I feel he is not bothered to disclose whole info about his case. Just sharing that full amount was refunded, which is not enough to comment further.

I thought since full amount was refunded EMI loan account will be closed in 1 week.
But didn't happen automatically.

I mailed them this issue
Then relationship manager called me and told only pre closure option is nothing else can be done.

Since billing date was nearing closure was compulsory for me I asked them for waiver

And asked why they are charging intrest on cancelled transaction but RM didn't not waive the fees

@purushotham Bro you could have contacted the bank/us on April 5. That day also you have shared half of the information, just shared one screenshot without describing the matter much.

You have made pre closure instead cancellation, you txn would have become cancelled. You got charged for intrest and GST for nothing.

Though, try contacting bank once to reverse that charges as you believed that EMI will get cancelled automatically, I don't think now much can happen, but make sure you don't repeat the same again with any bank.

When cancellation takes place either from your side or merchant, inform the bank immediately so as to avoid any charges/ fees.

It's us, who are supposed to inform the bank in this regard.

If you have mailed in reasonable time period them you can escalate this further. You could have just called or mailed HDFC Credit Card Department, RM ko karne ke bajah.

Usually RM iss tarah ka charge waive off nahi karta

Sab theek ho jata aram se bro if aap April 5 ko inform kar dete, 5 ko nahi kiye firh bhi 2-3 din mein kar dete (ab toh bhaut jada late ho gaya na)...ki Amazon se order Kiya tha lekin seller ne cancel kar diya so jo EMI txn huwa tha usko cancel kar dijye...if kuch proofs mangta toh refund wala screenshot dekha dete and jo mail aaya rehta hai Amazon ke tarah se cancelled wala.
