Flipkart order cancellation fees

TF Premier
While I was placing an order on Flipkart I noticed that they are now charging for order cancellation.
For the first 24 hours the order cancellation is free, but after that they will charge some amount (may be vary for different products and product sizes).

So I thought I will place a cash on delivery order, then they have no option to charge the fee but for placing COD orders we have to pay some amount in advance (may be vary for different products or oder value).

Although I'm not against it, because yes it's really hard for small seller as well as large sellers for bearing the cancelled orders logistic costs.
But at first Flipkart should improve their service, nowadays there customers service is worst.

I have 2 accounts, but they are not charging on my old account, but they are charging on the account.

what if they tag ur account and charge next order observed same for urban company, ola etc. ?

Flipkart is not walmart’s Meesho its New Age SnapDeal, in coming years Flipkart will fail utterly because of lacking customer service support, carefree nature, i stopped buying from flipkart it’s new snapdeal shopclues etc.

Cancellation fee is charged to those accounts which has high percentage of cancellation/returns over a certain period to prevent losses. It is not applicable for all users.

For a genuine customer with low return/cancellation orders, no cancellation fee is charged.

Partly agree with your answer.
But In flipkart there is nothing like criteria of genuine customer (for reasons stated above)

Kindly elaborate, didn't understand your question

u kept COD and cancel it, my question if they tag your account then indirectly it has pending dues -50. so, next order be it COD or direct payment you have to pay extra 50rs. to settle last order cancellation fee.

In my new account, there are merely few orders, but they are charging the fees.
But in my old account there are hundreds of cancelled orders, but they are not charging the fee.

Okay, I understand.
Yes they can do this.

It could be because you are an old and valuable customer with high volume of orders, so they don't want to lose you by charging cancellation fee even if the return/cancellation percentage is high.

For a new account, they don't know the order pattern yet, so they are charging the cancellation fee to remind the customer to shop sensibly.

It's usually the newer accounts mostly which orders random things on COD then cancel.

Flipkart is slowly starting to squeeze customer from all sides handling fess, Platform fees, Deals fees, Cancelation fees, annual VIP membership etc Everything has fees.

I think soon they will start charging window shopping fees based on how much time you scrolled the app 😂

You have to pay to install the app, then you have to pay for registration and password reset. Then you have to pay for connecting the internet with their app. 🥲🥲
Then they will charge for taking their name.
