Flipkart VIP price going up from ₹499 to ₹799, wef 02/04/2025...[VIP is now, The BLACK]
That offer was apparently valid for a limited time. Then it fell back to 1 SC = 1 Rupee again!
But I have faced a bigger issue. Till yesterday I was a Black member. I wanted to renew it (only for the free Youtube Premium). But their FAQ clearly informed me that it could be renewed only after expiry of the current membership!
So I waited for this morning, only to be surprised by a subscription hike to 1249/- rupees now. Annoyed, I backed out.
They say my current Plus membership still allows use of Supercoins for every purchase, -- but in actuality, it is unusable for Groceries, which constitute > 95% of my Flipkart purchases.
So, goodbye to Flipkart for now.

It will get automatically activated after 6-7 days in the Flipkart account from which you bought that mobile. There's no way to activate it manually.
Buying the membership turned out to be a pretty good decision for me. I ordered a tv with ₹17,750 card discount at 97.8k on 6th oct. Saw the price today for the same tv and saw ₹23,000 card discount but the actual price was also ₹5000 less. I canceled the Old order and reordered for 87.4k. Then i saw the price went back to the old price so I researched and found that additional ₹5000 off was for only black customers. Overall, saved 10k.

Probably i might have told you this before as i was advising this to many .
There is absolutely no loss in buying the Black, infact it is much beneficial ifvwe use it right way.

Yep, it was ₹5k additional off for black.
Flipkart is terminating BLACK membership of users whose membership is about to expire.
Going by the thread it isn't related to the age but the no. of orders. OP has made 200+ orders and might got his account flagged.
My BLACK membership (upgraded from vip gold or whatever) expired on September i.e., after its life of 1 year. Later I subscribed for 1250rs.
Good to know that FK is terminating Black membership for those who is violating T&Cs..
However, if they decide to discontinue Black membership in general for everyone , it is entirely upto them...they have full rights..
