I got that VIP membership prompt a lot of times last month but saw no additional value in it. Now, it shows the new price with coming soon. The account shows Premium Plus.

True, for 499 it is alright.but for 799 it is not worth unless you are a heavy FK shopper

The combination of Flipkart Axis card+Axis Grabdeals+Flipkart VIP can be quite handy. But flipkart capping the 5 percent coin limit to 100 isn't great.
If you happen to book a couple of trips on CT, shop for at least 30000 on Flipkart in a year, then the VIP membership is fine. but for Rs 800, they need to give better value...

you can actually buy FK VIP from the below link.. but dont buy if you already have valid existing VIP subscription . it won't extend the curent one..
I renwed it for one year. and it went successfully .. but I bought again using the below link.. the transaction went through .. but the VIP was not extended for one more year (ie, stacking up for the 2nd year).. so I had to call FK and asked them to refund for my second subscription.. and I got the refund...

FK VIP @499 is an excellent value for those who shop on FK frequently.. I saved a few thousands using VIP since its inception
