Fortnite is coming to Windows on Arm | Mac users shocked | Windows users rocked

Fortnite is coming to Windows on Arm | Mac users shocked | Windows users rocked:

So far, Apple has probably sold approx 100 million Apple Silicon Macs.

Yet, No one still respect Apple.

Qualcomm has only sold 720,000 Windows on ARM laptops and Epic Games has already announced Easy Anti-Cheat software and Fortnite for Windows on ARM.

Fortnite's arrival on Windows on ARM is definitely a game-changer! Epic Games' move could shake up the competition. Do you think this will encourage more developers to optimize games for ARM-based Windows devices?
Also, you can play Nulls Brawl as well.

90% of popular Windows games already run on Windows on ARM without any issues and that too at a minimum of 30 to 60 FPS.

I found this YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@GhobsoGaming/videos

This guy is testing almost all popular games on the "Snapdragon X Plus", although keep in mind there’s also a higher variant processor called the "Snapdragon X Elite". Right now, he’s testing on the X Plus variant.

Future plans -

Currently, Snapdragon’s Adreno graphics aren’t as powerful as AMD and Nvidia but still — almost 90% of popular games are running smoothly on Qualcomm chips.

Nvidia and AMD’s Windows on ARM laptops are expected by 2026 and maybe one model might even launch by the end of 2025.

Also, the Snapdragon X2 Elite is on the way and I’ve heard its graphics will be much better. Qualcomm is also planning to offer dedicated graphics card support too, so Laptop companies can install Nvidia or AMD GPUs in the future.

Important points -
  • I think Call of Duty and Battlefield specifically need to be optimized for Windows on ARM. There’s no issue with the other games, it’s just that better graphics support are needed, which should be sorted by next year.
  • Don’t forget — Call of Duty is owned by Microsoft. Sooner or later, Microsoft will definitely port or optimize Call of Duty for Windows on ARM. In fact, some Call of Duty games are already running on Windows on ARM without any issues.
  • 3rd, for multiplayer/online games, I think whichever games are popular — developers will eventually port them fully to Windows on ARM. Because the fact is, multiplayer and online games keep generating continuous revenue.
What will be the future of Windows on ARM gaming in the next 4 to 5 years?

Personally, I feel that since Nvidia and AMD themselves are getting involved in Windows on ARM both companies will give it their all to push game developers to port and optimize games for Windows on ARM.

Microsoft has already had 3-4 anti-cheat companies port their anti-cheat software for Windows on ARM.

Now before I finish, I want to say one thing. There’s no shortage of Windows developers in this world.

Even today, I see people using and downloading old software's bug fixes and patches for old games/softwares on the latest windows operating systems. The developers who made those bug fixes and patches aren’t even in this world anymore.

It gives a nostalgic feeling when you see how much people still value those individual developers’ bug fixes and patches even today.

I’m mentioning this because — as more and more Windows on ARM devices come out, individual developers will also start providing a lot of support from their side.

In fact, they’ve already seen on GitHub. You can check here how many unofficial Windows on ARM ported software projects are out there: https://armrepo.ver.lt/

And some hackable native Windows on ARM games have already ported running on Windows on ARM - https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_Windows_ARM_games

Macbook Air M1 was full functional in 2020 itself.
Also, I can run my air on 10-12watt charger, can windows do that? At least not until Microshit keeps treating users as Data mining guinea p..s

First understand the technology bro.

Apple ditched Intel because Intel consumed too much power.

The problem isn’t with Apple or Microsoft — the problem lies with the x86-64 architecture itself.

That’s why Apple Silicon (Arm) is efficient in terms of power consumption.

Now, even on Windows on ARM, you can perform light tasks at 10-12W just like on Apple.

All thanks to ARM architecture.

Yes, I know
Mypoint - idle power consumption Linux>Windows>Mac
Even if you give Mercedes to Windows, Micr$hit will make sure it will behave like Maruti 800

Have you ever used Windows on ARM ?

Even when idle, Windows on ARM laptops perform much better than Apple macOS.

The only issue with Windows OS was that, because it runs on multiple types of devices, it wasn't fully optimized.

Now, Windows on ARM is designed specifically for Qualcomm, so it's fully optimized.

And in business, professional and enterprise environments, Windows OS is always fully optimized for their setups.

That’s why you see Windows OS running everywhere.

Just understand this simple thing — servers run on Windows OS. Have you ever heard of a server running on Apple macOS ?

That alone should tell you — Windows OS is like the grandfather. Apple is still the kid.

That doesn’t mean Apple macOS is bad. Apple macOS is good for entertainment.

All professional work is done on Windows OS.

Have you ever used Windows on ARM ?
No, Neither intend to.

Trust me bro? 😀
Prove it with facts.

Telemetry / ads consuming CPU cycle ain't it then?

Ever heard of Single-Core Performance? Still M3 beats qualcomm

Windows is only option* Read system admin thread about windows 11 on Reddit
Also they run LTSC

Dude, Just stop the whinn . This statement just shows the prejudice!
Tell me, Have you ever heard of Linux?
Yes, Leading with total market share of 3% (6sense)
Other report-
All professional work is done on Windows OS.
😀 😀 Ever visited Govt. office? Ever heard of BOSS OS?
show me a single corporate lawyer using windows!

Dude, Rupay might be your thing but Technology is not! 🙂 Peace out.

There’s a straightforward thing said about Apple fans. If you step out of your house and ask 100 people to talk about technology, you’ll find that 90% of them don’t actually know much about it — and those are usually the people who are Apple fans. You are one of them. 😀😀

There are videos on YouTube showing how long Windows on ARM runs on idle or with light tasks. Just go and check them out.

Single-Core Performance?

Haha, very good question. But do you even know where Single-Core Performance is actually needed the most?

First of all — gaming. And Apple has never taken gaming seriously, nor do game developers take Apple seriously. 🤣🤣

Secondly — in creative apps like Photoshop, 3D modeling software etc. But Apple has kept a grudge against Nvidia and doesn’t support dedicated GPUs (dGPUs).

No major game development or movie production happens on Apple systems because in those fields, Single-Core Performance isn’t more important than powerful graphics.

Nvidia’s CUDA cores and AMD’s Stream Processors were specially designed to handle creative applications.

It doesn’t matter what anyone says on reddit or anywhere.

The point is, there’s no real alternative to Windows OS and Apple’s macOS just isn’t that capable. End of discussion.

That’s why I said — you see Windows OS running everywhere.

I’ve worked in movie production houses — from Marvel to DC movies. My friends are working on gaming from Forza to GTA 6. Everyone uses Windows.

I’ve also worked at Amazon in the past. For show-off, you might see Apple devices in their offices but in real-life work, Amazon give their employees use Windows OS.

Now let’s come to servers.

I know most servers run on Linux but apart from that, Windows is also used on servers.

I was comparing with Apple, not Linux.

Why are you suddenly bringing another OS into this?

The simple thing is — everywhere you go, including government offices, you’ll either find Linux or Windows OS. You won’t find Apple anywhere.

Since you brought up Linux — whether it’s Avengers or Superman movie, we do the rendering on Linux, not on Apple. Ya!

Nobody even touches Apple macOS for this, bro.

It looks really cool watching videos on YouTube about how fast rendering has become on macOS but in reality, the raw files of a movie (or gaming raw files) are something macOS just can't handle.

You’ve heard of Windows OS’s blue screen, right? Have you ever heard of macOS’s Kernel Panic?

If you try to do any business, professional or enterprise work on Apple macOS, you’ll end up facing kernel panics and the system crashes.

Blah blah ...
I did not even bothered to read it after first 3 lines.
I am not an apple fan boy just a comman man who got his hands burned with windows , I value my money & productivity.

I am a guy writing this on a chromebook, have a macbook m1 for work(owned). Have a thinkcenter desktop for prints & media consumption that dual boot with Linux.
I was a Microsoft Student partner and Ambassador (got gifts from MS worth almost 50k a decade ago) Still I wont recommend anything with MS logo.

But reading your messages it's clear whos the fan boy. 🙂
Also, are grapes sweet or sour?

Leave it, I started out talking about knowledge here, but now I realize I'm talking to a novice. Bye.
