What will be the issue with using merchant qr?
I have received merchant qr for one of my relatives.
I am planning to send around 5000 to him to check for charges and other issues (like cashback)
Let's say he receives 10 lakh in an year from his business then is there any additional charges/tax rate applicable for him?
P.S. - he got merchant code from phonepe.

Ofc there'll be income tax. He has to prove that it was not his income. For 10l, the probability of getting a notice is very less.

Ok, and for 2-3 lakh in a year? He can skip filing itr? He is planning to get 3 merchant qr for his business. Using all 3 simultaneously and monitoring the receipt in each to avoid income tax threshold.

Well, what his income? Turnover doesn't really matter(it does after a certain point).

But if his total income is more than 2.5l, he has to file ITR. Under the new scheme, if his income is upto 7.5L, he need not pay tax, but will have to just file his ITR
