it's my dad's, very very very old acc, so he doesn't want to ditch it. Also he has current acc and staff all knows him, so the bank even though it's shit, is kinda personal to him lol. He has banked there for like 20-30 yrs now

even i don't, but i want otp/debit/credit trxns sms only. and those sms are mandated by RBI anyways.

These sms alerts are for monthly/yearly etc bal.

anyways, dads going to branch anywyas tomo to collect new dc as current one's expire this month, so will get sms disabled too.

ikr... most shitty bank tbh but they recently gave the best disc in swiggy/blinkit. flat 25% off on mini spend of 500 rs with capping of 150 rs. So amazing offrs frm them lol

Why you want to unsubscribe to sms alerts ? You won't recieve any transactional sms (credit or debit on your account) if you do so. Or wanna save 20 or 25 rs monthly sms subscription charges.

afaik RBI rules say OTP sms is mandated. Even if someone stops sms alert, he/she will still get otp/debit/credit instant sms.

Dad went to the branch today and someone prerna miss said he will stop getting otp sms which I guess she lied?

afaik RBI rules say OTP sms is mandated. Even if someone stops sms alert, he/she will still get otp/debit/credit instant sms.

Dad went to the branch today and someone prerna miss said he will stop getting otp sms which I guess she lied?

Another gem of JKBank, dad collected the card, and when i try to generate pin via app, it sent OTP late, till then app auto logged out.

Then I tried again, so now otp comes instantly but every time this error comes in the app.

Shit bank shit bank shit bank.

We might have to visit an ATM just for pin generation.. 1900's bank.
