General Enquiry regarding SBI Card

Hi TF Community,

I hope everybody is doing well. I don't have a SBI card. Just now I got a call from a lady asking me whether I am interested in SBI card. I said yes, then she asked whether I am salaried or self employed and asked to share my PAN number. I denied to share the PAN since I didn't trust her. But she kept telling me she is calling from SBI cards division and she got my number from Paisabazar (I have account there and i sometimes check personalized credit offers but never applied any.) The number from which I got the call is +918069908800.

Now my question is is this a legit SBI cards CC number. In Truecaller it is showing as SBI Credit cards. If yes, then do they really take user's data from Paisabazar?

I told her to callback tomorrow. Seems like a fraud to me.

Need suggestions please.

In trucalled is it showing with a red background ? It means many people have marked this caller as spam. This can be a hint.

I also got a call from this number 3 days ago and when she asked which card you want I said Cashback. She then asked you don't want any conventional card from SBI. I said no. Then she cut the call😂

Next time they call you, say that you want Amex Platinum. They will permanently remove you from their calling list. 😜

Bro dont share anything some times back i wanted to apply for hdfc card and i got call from agent who at first asked me for my details and then when i told her i live in surat then she told me sir hdfc dont give cards in gujarat as gujarat is blacklisted can u belive it whole gujarat is blacklisted and she asked me for an address outside gujarat. I told her i dont want anything from her and now she distributed my number like free candy and now i get 20+ calls from agents everyday. My advise is dont entertain these agents if u want card go to banks official website or visit bank branch.

It could be legit but its risky to share such info on call due to scams happening all around. Best is to apply via sbi card sprint u can get it approved in minutes directly and digital card will be issued.

I lost the hope from DND app, every time I complain Airtel says it's legitimate call to me hence no action taken. Looks like Airtel also don't want to block numbers so that they will not loose any business from those numbers.

Actually I don't want to apply SBI card as of now unless there is a pre-approved offer. Thinking of applying after 6-8 months atleast. Was just curious about the legitimacy of the call. Went deep in Truecaller and found many have reported the number as Spam. Now if she calls again I'll just block her.

Mark every number as credit card sales agent. They'll take action.
