As per my branch, we can't.
They first told we will open 1k or 15k account then later change code to sbpro. But they called to some big branch and confirmed its not possible to change.
So after a month, directly opened sbpro

Nope my branch confirmed this too. When I went to branch the first time, they were not aware of SBPRO and BM suggested to open SBGEN and later upgrade but the operations guy refused. Somehow he found the account and opened mine.

That’s weird. Sorry if I didn’t follow your earlier replies but are you sure that your account is SBPRO ? People here are saying they got rupay select VDC but not able to use correctly. Can someone help this guy on the steps followed?
It shows minimum balance of 10k and I have upgraded to udaan account and got select card issued. So confused how VDC was generated for platinum
I have the account(same variant) from very long time but Visa Signature DC is issued. How can I upgrade/change it to Rupay Select DC without visiting branch?
Now got to understand. Probably your previous base a/c variant was eligible for Platinum and so it got generated. Try de-registering the app fully, uninstall & reinstall the app and this time register using RSDC, not branch token. It may solve your issue.
Yes Union transaction SMS are not getting generated for every transaction. May be out of 5 trans, only 1 or 2 are getting displayed.

Wait,.it is possible to convert normal savings account to udaan?
If yes, what's the procedure?
So why you mentioned it is not possible?

Operations guy corrected the BM that the account can not be upgraded post opening. I hope it's clear now.

Ok when I went to branch, somehow the BM couldn't find SBPRO product code, so he suggested that I open SBGEN and later he will upgrade it to SBPRO.
After 5 mins the operations guy comes in the branch and BM asks him about the upgrade after opening SBGEN. He (Ops guy) then explained that an upgrade is not possible and after a few minutes of fiddling, found the correct Product code.
I hope this time it's clear.
@nishank can you generate the interest certificate and confirm the product code once.
As per the branch guy I met, upgrades are not possible.

So, maybe your branch operational guy don't have proper knowledge about upgrade..
How he did know that upgrade not possible, it means in past he should have tried someone account upgrade to this sbpro if not sbpro then some other variant.
If not, then he was just assuming.
Otherwise, if it was true, the one person mentioned he upgraded to sbpro was not possible.

Again I didn't question him because he was kindda helping me open the a/c directly but he explained the issues he/branch has faced upgrading accounts. Even for BSBDA to SBGEN upgrades.
Even if it's not impossible it must be difficult (for some reason) because it took him more time to open SBPRO. He could have gone with SBGEN and got rid of me in 15 mins.
Guys can you please stop fighting, I will get the details from my branch and will update, allow me 2 days. Your fighting is leading to unnecessary extra notifications
