Opened my Udaan a/c on 25th march
a/c activated sms came at 29th march
went to bank on 2nd april and deposited money & applied for DC sms came of debit card that day after few mins
3rd april got sms of DC issued along with last 4 digit
today 7th april got surpised as DC delivered at 2pm (didn't received any sms of tracking)

yes with proper documents -aadhar / pan
while opening i said pls open the young professional variant they didn't have any idea about UDAAN a/c its is same didn't asked any doucments
while appling for dc they where giving DC which was there at bank a normal classic card i said this a/c comes with rupay select he said it is personalised one i will have to apply it and it will come to your address also said wait for 15days but its came in 5 days
Awesome! Also, by 'proper docs' I meant registration document for self employed professionals. 🙂

i visited a different branch first went straight went to BM room and said i want to open udaan as CFA are eligible my level 1 is already done he said i want degree . Showed my passing certificate he said this is level 1 only he wanted proper degree hard copy and all level cleared 1km near there was a diffrerent branch went there and they opened but this time i said i want to open a/c didn't tell about udaan but while they were taking my details on computer i said pls open young professional variant

I recently opened Union Udaan account and received my rupay select debit card today. If I apply for virtual debit card in Vyom app, will I get Rupay Select Virtual Debit card by default or will I get an option to select the card variant?

Most probably you will get rupay select
If it's a new Udaan a/c opened directly and not any upgrade / downgrade and you mentioned you got RSDC, so in Vyom virtual card will be by default RSDC mostly. Atleast for all of us who opened new Udaan, got virtual RSDC. There will be no provision to choose the card type. I will suggest first activate physical card & then generate virtual one.

Thanks. physical card is already activated. Tomorrow I'll make a transaction and then generate virtual card
You can do it right now by adding Re 1 to Amazon wallet and then generate virtual DC
How was your experience of opening it? Did you provide registration docs or used the method mentioned by OP?

Maybe it depends on branch and profession of account opening person.
Likely he is professional that's why he able to open it.
Yes, a lot of it depends on the person handling the account opening process. hence, I was trying to get the sense check on how many people were asked for registration certificates vs how many were able to open it easily without proving the eligibility.
