getting charged on card approved on name of lft

i was offered lft icici rubyx dual credit card via agent, as i was college student(nit). But today after my card confirmation message came, i called called customercare. They confirmed that mastercard varient is lft, but amex varient is chargable. What should i do now?

No ,they are saying if i want to cancel amex card,mastercard will also get cancelled. So not activating any
