Millennia Getting Tata Neu LTF offer but I am Doubtful.

Hi,

Received a call today at 6:50 pm from a lady called Priya "claiming" to be calling from HDFC Pune!!

She said there is a pre-approved credit cards offer for me but to generate the offer on her computer she will last 4 digits of my existing HDFC millennia card and my current work details!

She said Only once the offer is generated she will be able to tell which card and what variant of it I will get but it will be LTF and she also said most existing HDFC Millennia users are getting Tata Neu Rupay LTF...

When I questioned about the limit, which I said is usually comes shared for HDFC cards then she handed over my call to a senior executive who told me it will be separate and higher then the exiting card!

Here I grew a bit suspcious as the background was very noisy and resembling of a call center and they were claiming separate limit which I have Unheard of for HDFC cards.

She called me twice Once I cut the call abruptly.

What should I do? Should I fall for this offer?

I got my First HDFC millennia card 2 years ago in a similar manner despite No past relationship with the bank but at that time the girl had a DP in WhatsApp with ID card of HDFC. Was very help and believable, later I learned she too was a third-party employee!

So what should I do here? Should I proceed?

I am interested in Tata Neu LTF but ye thoda doubtful lag raha hai... why the bank is SO merciful on me?

Thanks and regards

Ask her to first send all details to your email address and that you will not entertain any communication on WhatsApp. If and when she does send the email, make sure if the email domain belongs to HDFC Bank. If it doesn't, then she is either a DSA or an individual agent.

Don't entertain any communication regarding finances with anyone over WhatsApp.

Good advice! But in this case, it's not necessary, as it's quite evident that the person OP is dealing with is, in fact, a third-party agent.

This isn’t something someone actually working at HDFC Bank would say.

She said Only once the offer is generated she will be able to tell which card and what variant of it I will get but it will be LTF and she also said most existing HDFC Millennia users are getting Tata Neu Rupay LTF...
She doesn’t even know which card you're eligible for, but somehow she’s certain it’ll be LTF - another red flag.

I’d strongly recommend not interacting with her. She’s very likely a third party agent making false promises. Stay away and apply only through the Tata Neu app or the HDFC website.

Have you checked in Tata Neu app for the CC offer?

This agent route seems quite risky..odds are only 10%..
Better try via Tata Neu app..or directly from HDFC
