Any way to delete bulk emails like email from 2017- 2018 instantly ?
Most of my Gmail space is occupied from Emails only
I had the same issue. Around 99k unread mails with lot of spams. I spent 3 days deleting them until this turned into an obsession and I was left with very few. Initially got it down to 100, then 50, then 9 was the final count.
The way I was deleting also got better. Ideally you can go by keyword or date range. Initially I deleted all mails from prior to 2013 (mostly all facebook and orkut spams and those huge gmail spam forwards). Then go by keywords - @indiamailers or @twitter or @subscribe. Just scroll through a page of 50 and see which is the common keyword present in the mail list, search, select all and delete.
In hindsight, most of the mails from 2013 till 2020 also weren't too relevant for me but it was a good trip down memory lane for me to clear them. If you know there is nothing important, you can easily select by date range and remove everything prior to 2021. Then do the keyword search until you're down to a comfortable size. And keep unsubscribing from useless stuff along this whole process.

I tried that -searching by keyword. But turns out, it was not enough.

I can filter based on date range, but I cannot delete all those filtered data at once. How to do that ?

Type in "before:2022/11/11" or what date range you need
On the left side just under the From option, there will be a checkbox for selecting the mail. The first checkbox will be all your search results which runs into all pages (basically select all for search results), then delete.

Open html version of gmail. There you can select bulk email and delete them. You can get detail tutorial on YouTube.
