Got RBL Shoprite LTF very quick

View attachment 65620

I am offered this. Is it worth taking? Already have ICICI Amz, Axis FK, Tataneu Infinity and Axis (citi) Cashback. 5% on UPI is enticing, but not sure how much they will really give. I do travel a lot and now most cards are removing lounge access.
There is something wrong in this...This is not right at all....as Just now I got the welcome mail with all terms and conditions and Except 5% valueback on grocery and fuel surcharge waiver, nothing is there
I am quite sure this is a document prepared by the agent to lure the customers
also see the spelling mistakes...leftside below the 0 annual fee..(.Blance)..it should be balance...I think enough clue

The actual reward rate is 3%, not 5% as claimed by RBL after you convert reward points to vouchers/bill payments at the ratio it gives plus 99+GST fees. But it gives 3% on offline/online and UPI (RuPay variant). Gave me 3% on Jiomart. Note that it gives 20 RPs for every ₹100 spent so if you spend ₹450, you will get RPs only for ₹400 and nothing for those ₹50.

Is this for real?

I got RBL Shoprite approved in email it shows annual fee Nil should I get confirmation from CC?
2000 RP on first transaction is only for those who pay joining fee right?
In the RBL app I see estatement if I toggle it gets switched off I move to different screen. I can be assured only estatement is sent?

not good card, and mostly you'll never use it. think twice before opening another account in your cibil.

estatement is default

I only need it for bank offers I have many cards so I applied. I think its paid card in app under card benefits it shows 1.5 spend criteria. I can close it within 45 days without any fee right?

if u not activate, u can safely close it. no impact otherwise expect short term fluctuation which will recover in 3 months.

About bank offers:

RBL, IDFC, IndusInd, Standard Chartered -- never needed IMO. u alwasy find alternative that day because these never solo/not appear itself.

RBL offers still somewhat can be found on airline sites and sometimes Amazon, Flipkart etc. IDFC also has offers. But IndusInd is truly once a year when their Rewardz Festival starts. And Standard Chartered no offers AT ALL 🤭

I registered on RBL cards app but did not setup the PIN. As far as I know it doesn't count as card activated. Card not yet dispatched. I have cards from all those banks you mentioned maybe 15 banks altogether.
Indus, IDFC and RBL are good with offers. Indus cards are also better in other ways. SC is dead since 2019.

What about RP to statement settlement? how much is 1 RP then?
Regarding RP conversion 0.18p most banks (HDFC, Federal...etc) are like that not only RBL😠 Only for airlines & hotels they give higher conversion rate. Indus is awesome it gives 0.85p for shopping.

There is no statement conversion in RBL, AFAIK.

Now, Don't think 1 RP value but think about 3.6% value (- Redemption Fee). Compare that with your other cards and if its best in that go for it.

As mentioned earlier, RBL never solo when it comes to offer - there are always other banks at that time which work as backup (so, in a way u never miss RBL), again it depends on usage/personal spends they made at that particular website.

Now, Indus - RBL - Federal etc. they don't have accelarated earning opportunity in their credit cards + never solo on offer (according to my usage).

I've used MB+ (same 500rs. card = even RBL shoprite is LTF, considering all 500 cards as per their website price) and able to get around 4%+ for 15k spends.

+ MB+ Gives 5% if I purchase vouchers on their Gyftr (its just an example reference), never consider point value but overall return for your spends.

----------------

Again, its based on my personal usage. TBH, I never applied or used RBL cards till now and never felt I missed that card. Even I had very less usage on SBICards but often feel like I missed that whenever I saw those offers on shopping malls, solo on festive sales, apparel stores etc. Not that I've usage or purchase happens that day but u know that kind of feeling that if I have SBICard, I might have used that card. Even after getting SBICard I rarely use that card.

Similar kind of missed feeling never happend for me in those banks; atleast Federal cards I saw in food delivery apps but RBL or IndusInd or IDFC, no.

Again, its me and might not match with your spends, so choose accordingly based on your usage.

What is MB money back?
Even if you buy on SmartBuy each RP is 0.5p but if you use the RP for voucher purchase it will be 0.2p or less.
Same with Federal bank RP is 0.25p but voucher purchase has different conversion.

RBL has offer on Zepto and on travel sites. So I wanted to keep it.

BTW I see LTF in welcome email, application and KFS but customer care replied it is a paid card. Filed compliant with RBI just now.

Sorry to take a teensy bit offtopic from RBL which is the topic of this post but I haven't the faintest idea where I can find IndusInd discount offers so anyone please DM me if there's an IndusInd offer, as I struggle to meet spends target/milestone on IndusInd credit cards. I saw at Zepto a few discounts and was shocked to see they were actually running offer like 10% off or 15% off otherwise I never see them at Scamazon/Flopkart, or airline websites (Yatra, ClearTrip, EaseMyTrip, ixigo, goibibo, MakeMyTrip etc)

irs 0.25p including statement credit. but as mentioned previous post consider overall value not per reward point.

Yes, but as mentioned previous post consider overall value not per reward point.
