Such discriminatory practices. They told me that "the bank shall take utmost efforts to ensure an early resolution". Clearly they are sparing no efforts for you and hence leaving some efforts for me.

This really got me thinking though and now I don't understand "spare" properly.

I know that this phrase means in this context means this, but how does spare work with "spare a moment" or "spare a dime"? Appears contradictory... This is probably why he misunderstood.

Edit: Okay, maybe "Not spare any effort" would not be the same as "Spare no effort"... 🤔
