While making a credit card payment via HDFC Net banking portal i accidentally made payment to my Coral Card instead of my APay card.

On 16th of May I payed off my CC bill of Amazon pay card and it was the last date of payment. Today i realized that i selected my Coral card while making the payment and now I am being charged for late payment also when i spoke to customer care they said they can transfer the payment from my coral to amazon pay card but it would still be reflected as a late payment and i would have to pay the charges, the interest and the gst applicable on it.
Is there anything I can do in this situation? This is the first time in my history that I have paid the bill on the last date and i have never been late for any payment till date.

There is absolutely nothing you can do about this. except for requesting ICICI...

It happened with me more than 10 years back, with Citibank cards. While Citibank immediately reversed the penalty , the late payment reflected in my credit report for next 7 years.

Don't think you can do much here. They may be able to transfer the dues to the right account, but might not entertain your request for removing late payment information on your CIBIL. This is why I triple check while making card payments ensuring it is to the right account and clear dues based on the settlement times historically.

You can request icici. Try to convince them by pointing at your good repayment history.

If they don't agree to reverse charges, ask them not to report to cic. Most likely they wouldn't have reported yet.
