HDFC add on 2x rewards offer?

My RM was telling me to get an addon for my DCB and mentioned that the add on card will give me 2x points of whatever spends I make. This just seems to be gimmick to make me get an add on or is this offer actual? 2x points will land me at a 6.66% reward rate which seems very crazzy!!

I think by 2x he means spends will be also 2x , as two people will use it😂.

Even I thought that but then she says that I'll get 10 points for every 150 spent.

Why are you not taking add-on card?

I did not have any use of it yet, my family does not use cards n all

My wife has an add on from my DCB and till last statement it is just regular 5 points/150. I will confirm in this month's statement too in few days.

Yes. For Smartbuy or any online spend, there is no difference between primary and add on because card number, and mobile number is same. It is only offline spend where the pin is different and gets categorised as add on but points remain same.
